This song should have been the first (and sole) single from Miracle instead of the so-so Miracle and Beautiful boy...

Yes, I just wished she had dressed differently. Yes the dress is Dolce & Gabbona (they are not my favorite designers); I can't stand where the hem falls! This was just a really hard time for her stylistically. She was still in Dragone's world of theatrics (thus her jarring make-up), and they had added those awful extensions (which were all over the place). She just looks very old and tired. Especially when you compare it to how fresh and fun she is now.

 

Still, I'm thankful for this performance.

Totally agree. She feels the song, she enjoys singing it. She puts all of herself singing in... She follows the rhythm with her body (the little jumps for example) and most of all she is not worried about the song. Nowadays most of the times her face appears to be worried because of the notes or the difficulty of the song, there's something in the exp<b></b>ression on her face. Of course her songs are not always easy. Plus, I love to hear a live arrangement of this songs cause ot adds something to the original version. It sound truer and more felted. The album version, however, is extraordinary too.

 

If I'm not wrong when she released it a single in usa, the album did a big jump up on the bb200 chart! Definitely one of the most beautiful song on Miracle, (just like My Precious One) and singles choices. I agree that it should've been the first single form the album.

It's great when she actually feels a song so thoroughly..so very rare, I find...especially post-2002.

 

ISSW and Miracle are my favorite songs off of the 'Miracle' album. Her promo performances were excellent for this album.
