Lolita appreciation thread

It's so soothing. So easy-going and it must have had such meaning to Céline when sung.

I actually miss her singing in such easy-going way. I have yet to hear her sing in the vein of "Ma Chambre", "Lolita" or "Incognito". She sounds beautiful without forcing her notes, by simply producing relaxed laid back vocals. You notice it especially on "TROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOP jeune pour aimereeee..." and then her great vocal twist comes in: "Kes-ke ca veut dire?" That is what I would want to hear more. :in_love:

I love these songs too!!!! The early Plamandon's are my faaaaavorites! Lolita, Incognito and my favorite, Partout je te vois! I love the last chorus when she sings with a twist to her voice that is so rare and really quite appealing.

And yes, the 'Trop jeune pour aimer, qu'est-ce que ça veut dire?" line is one of my favorites!

It's a great song. It is sad that Celine stopped singing in live. Lolita should have been performed at Millenium concert, not incognito =/

Do you mean, "Qu'est-ce que ca veut dire"? Any way I love those Plamondon days :in_love: , the music was just good quality, and I have a feeling it'll never be the same again...

This is hands-down one of my favorite Celine songs.

But where the hell was the video shot? I've asked myself that for years! Parts look like it's outside Versaille?

DOES ANYONE KNOW?

I adore this song. Reminds me of my first love very much, and I associate it with my vacation to Quebec City where I purchased the INCOGNITO album.

"People pay 20-25 dollars to see you."

- Céline Dion, 1990
