New Celine VS. New Whitney

I have a feeling Celine's new album will come out around the same time as Whitney's new album. I have no doubt Celine can outshine Whitney (not that I don't like Whitney, but Clive Davis drives me nuts always proclaiming Whitney "the best singer in the world". ) Anyhow, Clive is going to do all in his power to re-ignite Whitney's miserable-as-of-late career. Her last few albums failed HORRIBLY.....that being said.....I hope Celine and her team push for an album a' la FALLING INTO YOU with modern twist to totally give her a huge smash.

 

I know in "For Keeps" Vito wants to do "One more crossover AC/Pop album like Falling into you." Let this be the one!

Céline's and Whitney's CD will be surely out at the same time... it will be interesting especially that it will mean a possible encounter of one another on stage and perhaps a singing encounter as well? Would be magnificent to listen!

 

To Whitney's credit you have to mention that she is a TRUE singer. In the course of her career she has sung almost everything L-I-V-E. A fact that even Barbara Streisand can't assert. Not to mention Céline. Whitney has sung live - even when it was barely listenable.

for sure Celine album is going to be better! but well we have to admit that whitney is a good singer too but she can't compare to Celine Celine is the BEST SINGER IN THE WORLD! but now with all this scandal about withney and that she was involved ith drugs and all that...i'm not sure that she can sing as good as she did it before..

but the polemic will help withney album, she has been in the media with her divorce, and the drugs... and everybody is talking about that... (i don'w want to say this but i think is the reality... )and celine hasn't...at least not like withney was, i mean when is about divoirce and drugs everybody wants to know the whole story!

the problem with the u.k. is the media - they cant stand her and radio stations wont play her songs . but the fact is - she is the best selling female artist ever in the u.k.!!!!!! which means that the people disagree with the media and truely love celine.

if sony would just move their #ss a little and push her songs there and celine will come for a visit i can assure you - her album will be one of the biggest of the year . the problem is that celine works without a record label - they r doing NOTHING , she has to do it all , she has to be everywhere because they couldnt care less

I think one TV appearance in the UK is surely planned for the promotion of her next English album. But I don't get why are you all so keen on Céline's commercial success in the UK or Europe? Granted we can make her have a good chart position in the USA thanks to downloads but in the UK and in Europe it ain't gonna happen especially considering this album looks like it won't receive much promotion there if at all...

what r u talking about? celine is planning to visit europ - that's the best promotion in the world...it's gonna be her first promotional gig in europ since 2002 . i truely hope she'll come and promote the album in europ ...she can easily sell 5-6 million copies in europ if she comes thre few times...

I think it is wrong to dis someone like this just cause they love Celine, i think personally there is no one out there who adores celine as i, my oppinion, but id never say well celine is better blah blah, just cause someone followed the wrong path.

 

Good luck to whitney, hope she does well, we all know that celine thinks of her as a singing icon, so why cant you all see past the drugs and listen to the voice,

It's kind of sad how narrow minded a lot of you are. No, Whitney Houston is not going to be able to sing with the strength her voice once had.....BUT she has an untouchable God-given talent that no drug can totally take away from her. So she is more than capable of training her voice back to a shred of it's formal glory and deliver a solid album. I hope she does clean up her act and I hope the public accepts it.

 

As far as Celine and Whitney being "against" each other....I think that's the last thing on either of their minds. Whitney just needs to clean up her act, and Celine just wants to make a new album that she is happy with.

 

So stop being stereotypical "Mariah-like" fans and have respect for everyone who still wants to master their craft.
