Céline's Blues Posted October 10, 2006 at 07:58 PM Posted October 10, 2006 at 07:58 PM Here is a short summary of the interview disc she recorded 10 years ago, this time I will be quoting explicitely or else someone may accuse me of having too much times on my hands and being bored: I just found one of those picture interview CDs of Celine. It basically a40 minute interview with her. It was really interesting to hear what shehad to say. The interview took place sometime between "If You Asked MeTo" and "Nothing Broken But My Heart." Here's a quick run-down:-Celine talks about when she found out that Patti Labelle recorded If YouAsked Me a few years ago -As you probably know, Celine considers singing to be like acting. Shedescribed the role she played when recording Nothing Broken But My Heart -She says that she really used to enjoy water skiing (and was gettingquite good at it) -Her musical favorites include Guns N Roses, Metallica (???), Mariah,Whitney, Prince, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Barbra Streisand, etc.. -Some of the more interesting segments included a part on how she feelsafter performing. She said that when she gets back in the dressing roomand looks in the mirror, she feels very lonely and depressed. Her hair ismessed up, her makeup is running everywhere, and she's covered in sweat.She also explains that when you are on stage you are hearing peopleapplauding you, but when you go back to the dressing room, there is deadsilence. She says that the transition occurs to quickly. -Celine also said that she loves singing, but she also hates it. Shehates it for the reason that sometimes she doesn't want to sing (i.e. - ifshe's sick or just feeling sad). -the rest of the interview talked about lots of things such as touringwith Michael Bolton and the bad press he receives, why Celine doesn'twrite her own songs, the fact that Celine has a boyfriend that she hopesto marry (I guess that one came true), the fact that Celine is just anordinary person, her dreams and desires, how the Candians feel about herbecoming successful in the USA, and variuos other stuff.
