I think it entered lower and climbed to #1 due to the good promotion, because it was released in March 1996 and October was the time when her tour had already started and she had done a lot of heavy promotion for the album. I wasn't very fond of english pop music (not a native speaker...) and I got to know her through a channel that broadcasted US and UK TOP 10 on the weekends. I still have them on tape (don't know how to digitalise it so I can share it) when she was at the 1st places. As for ANDHC I think that all of us were waiting for it so it made it straight to No1.
