Céline's Blues Posted September 29, 2006 at 07:42 PM Posted September 29, 2006 at 07:42 PM I would really like that with her new French album Céline continues her (sometimes very successful) hommage to the elegance and mystery of the Patricia Kaas cover arts. After a short trip to the land of country and guitar pop with "1 Fille & 4 Types" and its very fun cover Céline is surely more than bound to return for the stylish tasteful of deep emotions that reflect the album contents. Take a short look on Céline's and Patricia cover arts: http://images-eu.amazon.com/images/P/B000026AZ5.03.LZZZZZZZ.jpghttp://ec1.images-amazon.com/images/P/B000026DKS.01._SS500_SCLZZZZZZZ_V40533641_.jpghttp://images.amazon.com/images/P/B0000257RM.01._SS500_SCLZZZZZZZ_V1116111423_.jpghttp://liberty.furtopia.org/VeryCDbbs/kaas_1988mc.jpghttp://www.15150.com/uploadfile/24942/2006022320434211287.jpg http://perso.wanadoo.fr/olivier.wolf/silsu.gifhttp://www.celinedion.com/AlbumData/album7/cover7.jpghttp://www.celinedion.com/AlbumData/album3/cover3.jpghttp://www.celinedion.com/AlbumData/album18/cover18.jpghttp://www.celinemaniacs.com/alb1_file/alb3.jpg Now I truly hope she will continue to amaze with the interpretational depth of the covers, songs and the music. I also find that the cover art is oh so important for a true Céline Dion release - it's just a picture but a well made picture speaks thousand words as you can see from the posted images. As for her new Fench release I would REALLY REALLY hope for something feminine. something oh so French-Canadian that transcends and shows off her as a singer that has actually something to say. I ADORE the laughing Patricia Kaas cover and think this could be a good starting point where to look for the imagery (or even intentional lack of it!) for the sake of showcasing a simple emotion. Céline's Blues Posted September 29, 2006 at 07:51 PM Author Posted September 29, 2006 at 07:51 PM Waiter, bring her water! You gotta make her keep her cool! She will deliver magnificence for the next CD. 1 full year of just thinking of the concept and collecting the lyrics is remarkable and awe inspiring. <3 Quote http://i.imgur.com/dmreJ.jpg
celinedrop Posted September 29, 2006 at 09:21 PM Posted September 29, 2006 at 09:21 PM I agree...Celine's French material really has something else, not only the songs but also the album's cover and everything. In my opinion, the best French cover EVER is from "S'il suffisait d'aimer": it's pure, sophisticated and sweet. I also like other French cd covers as the one from "Live a Paris", one of my favorites as well.I'm also expecting this kind of cover for the next album...Actually my expectations for it are the highest in every sense. Nando Férri Posted September 29, 2006 at 10:52 PM Posted September 29, 2006 at 10:52 PM Well... I love her albuns covers... english and french... Still I prefer the english one, because it's always more Diva. A lot of Glamour... The french ones are more simple, but it's still looks amazing. My favorite french cover is SSFD... soooooo elegant and beautiful... Quote http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m4ejungtQy1r9swpco6_250.gif

Bellamy Posted September 30, 2006 at 12:59 PM Posted September 30, 2006 at 12:59 PM I can't find any relation between Céline's and Patricia cover arts. Madonna's are more similar to Celine's if you compare them this way. http://www.celinedionforum.com/index.php?showtopic=15717 Quote Please support the forum by ordering everything through our special Amazon.com link Click here. Céline's Blues Posted September 30, 2006 at 02:15 PM Author Posted September 30, 2006 at 02:15 PM Here some quotes about two albums: D'eux:"I felt that power singers in France were kind of missing, but not to such an extent! In this category it's not the best album in the world but it's the only one. In my perception the difference was - in all impudency - the vocal approach." JJG SISDA:"It went all very well. We have worked on the draft of songs at the end of november. Then in march she came back for 15 days to the recording studio near Paris. And she sang. All the evenings - from 9pm till 1am. We did 2-3 songs per day. With her, it's great. It goes on very well and fast. 2 songs are from Eric Benzi, the others are mine. This time we didn't duet." JJG Quote http://i.imgur.com/dmreJ.jpg

He's the person who truly gets what I love the most about Celine: her unparalleled ability to blend power and softness in one pure voice. Her voice fits perfectly to his melodies, and his words translate her soul in such a way that it goes straight to our ears and hearts, and there it stays.
