Nando Férri Posted October 31, 2007 at 03:57 PM Posted October 31, 2007 at 03:57 PM What a great pics! I just LOVE the last one. She looks like a top model!!! An the new clips, great, but "I got nothing left" was my favorite one, but I didn't like this part of this song. Don't like when she screams like that. And "Fade away" really sounds as a different song. Quote http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m4ejungtQy1r9swpco6_250.gif
VanMerlin Posted October 31, 2007 at 04:13 PM Posted October 31, 2007 at 04:13 PM The interesting thing is that each set of clips we listen to seems to be different from the rest. When we get this album and listen to these songs, I think we may be even further shocked. I can't actually make up my mind about what any of these songs really are yet!! It's rather fun. Quote
salsacolin Posted October 31, 2007 at 04:16 PM Posted October 31, 2007 at 04:16 PM Is it just me or did the Fade Away clip sound like a TOTALLY different song than from the clips we've heard before?!! yeah its totally different hmmmm My love is to die for Quote I never even knew the song the orchestra was playing........ Thecolourofmylove Posted October 31, 2007 at 05:08 PM Posted October 31, 2007 at 05:08 PM I agree that these clips are different sounding... I'm trying REALLY hard to hold judgement on just the small cips we've heard... fred Posted October 31, 2007 at 05:10 PM Posted October 31, 2007 at 05:10 PM (This new skin is wicked! Feels like being on Hogwarts, my avatar is enjoying it very much!) I think it's interesting to see how my opinions change for each track the more I hear of them. So I graded that change of opinion with a smily. Alone - still a strong track, too bad this sound wasn't put on a totally new song Eyes On Me - still nice, and at least from this clip I ain't too worried about the production, but it would't hurt if it was a bit heavier and a bit less Coulda Woulda Shoulda My Love - this track despite its sappy lyrics is growing on me Shadow Of Love - You And I's little sibling is still going strong Surprise, Surprise - this track actually sounds more and more empty each time I hear it, beginning to wonder why it was choosen for the album in the first place. This Time - still going strong! I really like the backing vocals... New Dawn - was very fine the first time I heard a clip of it but seems to get more and more empty. A Song For You - still a very nice track, but I stand a bit ambivalent to her vocal delivery on this one. Have to hear it in full. A World To Believe In - All Because Of You's and I Know What Love Is's love child keeps on going but I still wonder HOW it got on the album. Can't Fight The Feelin' - this wonderful track keeps going strong! I Got Nothin' Left - keeps growing on me. And I am getting used to the helium tripping Patti Labelle. But Sebby boy you said this was temporary... Right Next To The Right One - I have always defended this track, but now it climbs down on my liking chart. Hope it's getting up again when I hear it in full. Fade Away - Boo ya! This track is the most radio friendly one on the album. That's Just The Woman In Me - still a wonderful track. Skies Of L.A. - love its sound! Such a soft track. /fred Quote Peace and love to all.

Fran Posted October 31, 2007 at 05:30 PM Posted October 31, 2007 at 05:30 PM Taking chances press release! http://www.celinedion.com/celinedion/engli...on_pr.cgi?id=34October 31, 2007Columbia Records announces the release of "Taking Chances," the long-awaited new studio album from multi-platinum Grammy-winning musical artist Céline Dion International Superstar's First Full-Length Studio Album In Four Years Showcases New Song & Production Collaborations With Linda Perry, Dave Stewart, Kara DioGuardi, Ne-Yo, Ben Moody, John Shanks, Anders Bagge, Kristian Lundin, Aldo Nova, "Tricky" Stewart and Chris Neil. Céline Dion's "Taking Chances" Available Tuesday, November 13. Columbia Records will release Taking Chances, the avidly-awaited new studio album from the multi-platinum-selling Grammy-winning musical artist Céline Dion, on Tuesday, November 13. Taking Chances is the artist's debut album on Columbia Records and first full-length new studio work since 2003's multi-platinum One Heart. The album also marks Céline's first new recordings since 2004 when she released A New Day: Live In Vegas, a document of her long-running record-breaking Las Vegas extravaganza, and Miracle, the CD "soundtrack" for a book of photographs by Anne Geddes celebrating babies and motherhood. As she completes an astounding sold-out five-year run -- during which she's sold more than three million tickets -- of her Las Vegas show, "A New Day," in December 2007, Céline Dion sets out in bold new creative directions with Taking Chances, perhaps the most personal and revelatory collection of songs and performances in her fabled career. Recorded mainly over a three-week period in July 2007 at Palm Studios in Las Vegas, Taking Chances finds Céline collaborating with a group of today's top songwriters and producers including Linda Perry (Pink, Gwen Stefani, Christina Aguilera), the Eurythmics' Dave Stewart, ex-Evanescence guitarist Ben Moody, chart-topping R&B/pop songwriter Ne-Yo, John Shanks (Melissa Etheridge, Kelly Clarkson), Kara DioGuardi (Pink, Kelly Clarkson, "One Heart"), Kristian Lundin (Backstreet Boys, *NSYNC), Anders Bagge and Peer Astrom (Bagge & Astrom: Take That, Janet Jackson, Jennifer Lopez, Santana, Madonna), Aldo Nova, Christopher "Tricky" Stewart (Rihanna, Usher) and Chris Neil (Mike & the Mechanics). Though she'd fallen in love with one particular song, "That's Just The Woman In Me " -- written by guitarist Kimberley Rew (best-known for penning "Walking On Sunshine" for his then-band Katrina & the Waves) -- some 15 years ago, it wasn't until she began work on her new album that she knew the song perfectly suited this new phase of her artistic development. "I think this album represents a positive evolution in my career," said Céline Dion. "As time goes by, and we have more experiences in life, it's easier to get in touch with our innermost feelings....to know more about what we really want, how we really feel. These days, I'm feeling strong....maybe a little gutsier than in the past...and just as passionate about music and life as I ever was." From her tour-de-force performances of "Taking Chances" (written by Kara DioGuardi and Dave Stewart; produced by John Shanks) and Heart's "Alone" to the driving rhythms of "Eyes On Me," Céline's new album showcases her deep and powerful connection to the emotional core of her songs and her art. Having sold more than 180 million albums around the world, Céline Dion is one of the most immediately recognized, widely respected and successful performers in pop music history. In addition to numerous Canadian and international gold, platinum and multi-platinum certifications, Céline Dion has seen six of her albums -- Falling Into You, Let's Talk About Love, Céline Dion, The Colour Of My Love, All The Way...A Decade Of Song and These Are Special Times -- achieve CRIA Diamond status in recognition of sales of more than 1 million copies each in Canada alone. She has been awarded five Grammy Awards including 1992's Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal (for "Beauty and the Beast"), 1996's Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album (for Falling Into You) and 1998's Record of the Year and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance (for "My Heart Will Go On" [Love Theme from 'Titanic']). Both "Beauty and the Beast" and "My Heart Will Go On" received Best Song Academy Awards for their respective years of release. In 2004, after achieving then-total global sales of more than 175 million albums, Céline Dion was presented with the World Music Award for the Best-selling Female Pop Artist of All Time. Quote

PrincesseJen Posted October 31, 2007 at 07:49 PM Posted October 31, 2007 at 07:49 PM So I received a call (that I missed) from Wal-mart. They left a message saying that online it appears the one that is $14.88 has the bonus DVD. As If I couldn't see that written for myself. What about the one I ordered? So I go back online and it states you can't cancel an order after it has been submitted! So I e-mailed them again to change the order since the product information was changed AFTER I pre-ordered and was misleading. I hope I get the right thing! Don't ask me why the one with the Bonus DVD is cheaper then the other edition cuz I don't know! Quote http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z30/Sarahj21230/Celine%20and%20Josh/pinkroseCeline-1.jpg
