Music Video more appealing to the mass audience

In today's society, it's sadly almost more important to have a solid music video rather than the song itself! So I was wondering if Celine plans on shooting new music videos that will appeal to more of a mass audience. It seems as though the last real video that was played on VH1 was "A New Day Has Come"...and that was rare. Before that, there was "That's the Way It Is"....which was on ALL the time.

 

So I wonder what kind of ideas they are coming up with for the new French album.....and I wonder what kind of videos could be made for a jazz album.

Actually You and I was shown as a video also as was HYEBIL. I don't think any video that she does will be shown on VH1 anymore as that whole channel as changed, as has the music shown on it. Right now we're lucky she makes another big hit, nevermind a new music video.

Today's music video's seem to be more about showing less flesh (especially womens flesh) than actullay support the song.

 

Now, in my opinion Céline has never needed that to sell her records

(I absolutely love "On Ne Change Pas" for both the lyrics and the video).

But it pisses me off that her video's are never ever shown here. And that when her songs actually say something. Music today all sounds the same.

 

Or is that just me?

Exactly, but Mathias, a new video for the English leading single "Baby, I'm so high" will be shown around February I assume.

 

Of course we will have something far more interesting next fall to think about or not since some fans can't appreciate the real Céline Dion. But that's the way things go.

seb - u know that with celine's team u can never say never . they can announce all of the sudden that the new english album will be out march 2007

 

i still believe we wont get a new english album til november/december 2007 or maybe even march 2008 but as i said - who knows for sure?
