Today i found a french album on the bookshelf and it's the album called "Native" and the singer is Laura Mayne-Kerbrat. To my suprise,Diane Warren is the composer of two songs(no doubt they are great but I'm not sure if they were great hits in France or Canada)!!!!(the others were composed by the singer herself)

Since JJGolman dont want to compose all songs for the whole next French album,maybe it's time to ask Diane Warren for help????

The only French song I know she wrote was Quand J'Ai Peur De Tout for Patricia Kaas. It had lyrics by Jean-Jacques Goldman. The song was good.

As much as I love Diane, and I find her to be incredibly talented, I think she's kind of lost some of her strength/originality.

 

The last song that she wrote for Celine that went anywhere was "I Want You To Need Me" and that flopped big time on the charts.

 

Don't get me wrong I'd kill to get a chance to work with her, but I don't think Diane should get involved with Celine's upcoming French album. It wouldn't "work" in my opinion.

All in all,I think Celine should cherish the songs written by Diane Warren.I think Diane Warren is the most important person in Celine's career;she lead Celine to sucess

Let's face it...Celine wouldn't be as HUGE as she is without the help from Diane. All of my friends(around ages 18-22) know Celine for songs like IYAMT and BYLM. Most people's favorite song of Celine's is still BYLM.

 

So while I agree that she should not be a part of Celine's upcoming album...I also believe that we should respect her for the songs she allowed Celine to record.

But like I said I think her time with Celine, at least for now, is up.

 

I don't think for one second there's any harsh feelings between the two of them, it simply is what it is. I have a feeling if "I Want You To Need Me" would have gone further then we would have seen at least one D.W. song on the ANDHC and OH albums. Oh well.
