I dont know why it has just always been that way. They love bands that are different or have different styles, like Coldplay and the Kaiser cheifs, greenday and people and bands like that. This means that the likes of celine and people like her get left out. Radio 2plays celine a lot and always has her on their playlists when she releases new songs (radio 2 get just as much listeners as Radio1) As for TV...VH1 and Magic play celine dion all the time (she has never been played on MTV and channels like that and unless she dramatically changes her style that will never happen) Sad but true!!! The fans however are a different story we still love celine and her recently album releases have been big A new day has come No1One Heart no. 4Miracle No. 5A new day...live in las vegas No 22 (great for a live cd). Celine was also given a special disk for sales of over 15 million, more than any other female in the UK. Lets talk about promotion, I think this is up to the record company and I hate to say it Celine, because they have been concentrating so hard on the vegas show that they have neglected everyone expect the US and France (sometimes Canada). There was some promotion for miracle in respect of a tv advert and a few tv appearances(this was the extra on the dvd disks) so it wasnt even unique interviews. If they concentrated just a little on the uk things could change and of course with other countries. Most big stars have the uk as a priority. Lets hope Celine comes back to the UK soon bearing in mind that the uk has given her some massive successes albeit the critics are never that nice.....but that is not the FANS faults.... Quote
