"Be The Man (On This Night)"...

For me I'd pick the English version. I would have easily picked the Japanese version, but I don't like how she switches to English in some parts. It's cool in "Tous les blues...," but it just doesn't seem to work for this song.

 

What do you guys think?

This song isn't my favourite although it's soothing and Celine's voice is crystal clear in it. I prefer the promo version, it's kind of fresher than the original album version. I don't like the Japanese version, because as someone has said previously this Japanese-English blend doesn't work like in the case of Tous les blues.... French-English mix. In the latter case I understand the mixing of languages, it's a blues song and well English is the language of blues and it makes the song cool and sexy.... But Be The Man... I get the impression that they didn't know how to translate it, it sounds kind of awkward... When I listened to the Japanese version for the first time, I didn't get it right away she sang parts in English. I thought: that's funny, Japanese kind of sounds like English sometimes!
