Parts have already been released in the US. Go to WalMart.com or ebay to get it. In late February, Japan will get a huge box-set which will include even more songs than the WalMart one. As far as I know, these are the only official DVD releases of the recording sessions. Thank you very much...i've been looking for this after the release of cd...i prefer to buy this...thank you.. Koolan Posted February 5, 2008 at 05:49 PM Posted February 5, 2008 at 05:49 PM The reviewer made an error. The Audio format is Dolby TrueHD 5.1 Surround (96kHz/24-bit)Uncompressed PCM 2.0 Stereo (96kHz/24-bit) Both are lossless. They are using only the best codecs and sampling rates. the other concerts are usually 48kHz. So glad AND got this type of treatment. It certainly is deserving. Andrei Dion Posted February 7, 2008 at 10:33 PM Posted February 7, 2008 at 10:33 PM I wanna make a wish. May the guys who have bought the B-D version post some HD pictures here? The thing is: I'm going to take a 4 month trip to the US by the end of the year and I wanna check the real difference between the DVD version that I've already bought.I know it must be way better than the DVD version speaking about quality of image and sound stuff. And I also know I'll have to get a LCD tv to watch the B-D version in HD resolutions. That's all because i wanna play it on my forthcoming Playstation 3 Quote AMO CÉLINE CADA VEZ MAIS!!!

tomi_hr Posted February 9, 2008 at 01:02 AM Posted February 9, 2008 at 01:02 AM "If there is any room for complaint, it is that perhaps the mix makes too little use of the rears." On DVD, use of rear channels is pretty heavy . Blu ray dolby mix is the same as on DVD (but in better quality) or it's a brand new mix made specially for blu ray? Few examples from DVD: MHWGO, very loud electric guitar in rear right channel, background voices...All coming back, thunders in all speakers (very spacious sound)I drove all night, instruments from all speakers around...etc etc... lindsey22 Posted February 11, 2008 at 09:19 PM Posted February 11, 2008 at 09:19 PM Regarding the "A New Day" Bly Ray edition dvd... what equipment does one need to view this said dvd in it's optimum intended format.Does one need a Blu ray Vision player or some gaming device-console capable of playing Blu Ray discs. Now what about the rendered television quality. Can a Blue Ray disc be transmitted through a non-HD tv while capturing the Blu Ray qualities of the disc. Comments & Discussions are welcomed. Quote

AllCeline Posted February 11, 2008 at 11:23 PM Posted February 11, 2008 at 11:23 PM (edited) If you want it in English without all the fancy high-tech terms, it's simple. Basically, Blue-Ray is a new type of compact disco which holds high-definition video. The disco is read with a blue-violet laser (hence "Blu-ray"). The wavelengths on a Blu-ray disc are shorter than that of a DVD, so it can hold much more. It can therefore hold video of a much higher quality which is also much larger in size (High-definition video). Because it's a different type of disc and is read using a different laser, you need a different player which can read the format (a Blu-ray player). Because it's developed by Sony, Blu-ray discs can be played on a Sony Playstation 3. Edit: Because the video is high-definition, you'll need an HDTV to fully experience the HD experience.
