thevoice Posted September 28, 2006 at 05:52 PM Posted September 28, 2006 at 05:52 PM (edited) Gogo, that is most illogical. What has her new English album (which will be released in March 2008) to do with her AND DVD/BD?<{POST_SNAPBACK}> seb - u ignore the fact that it's the second article that suggests the new album is due in 2007 + about the DVD - all i said is that they might take some parts of the DVD for the upcoming tv special instead of shooting a new special . Perhaps a LIVE concert with her crew in March opening her tour + a new English album = all this filmed by CBS but a special plus a lame DVD footage!? No way. Oh, and about the album - ritoutout mentioned only the French CD so far. Not a word about the English one. It may be pure speculation.I wish she'd say something more clear. Koolan Posted September 28, 2006 at 06:00 PM Posted September 28, 2006 at 06:00 PM NO WAY!!! CBS special SUCKS, their cams SUCKS, their production SUCKS. I certainly don't want CBS involved in the DVD production at all. I won't forgive SONY if they just make the DVD from a crappy CBS special. <{POST_SNAPBACK}>CBS wouldn't be involved with the DVD/BD, they'll use footages taken from the colloseum's cams. thevoice Posted September 28, 2006 at 06:01 PM Posted September 28, 2006 at 06:01 PM seb , u know i'm the first one who hope for a 2008 release - celine will be able to promote it better and will have more time to choose the right songs and record them while belting those long notes that u like so much tho i have to say , a november release might not be so bad - the holiday season and celine will be able to promote the album from december...so not too bad . Céline's Blues Posted September 28, 2006 at 06:05 PM Posted September 28, 2006 at 06:05 PM Well, the only LOGICAL argument for Céline releasing both albums at the same time would be that she wants to make the tour as fast as possible and say goodbye for 2-3 years. Quote http://i.imgur.com/dmreJ.jpg

Tal Posted September 28, 2006 at 06:37 PM Posted September 28, 2006 at 06:37 PM I think it's a great idea to have another big "Céline special" on American TV.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Remains to be seen, tho, whether it'd be better for Céline to pull "the one we don't mention or speak about here" or just not to try hard to be a media-ho again. I am for the graceful option.<{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thats ridiculous Seb. Celine is a product and products are marketed and advertised. You don't expect Pepsi to come out with a new drink and not promote it. This isnt only about Celine but about all the people behind making this dvd that need to keep their jobs. Celinesongs Posted November 29, 2006 at 04:51 AM Posted November 29, 2006 at 04:51 AM (edited) I was wondering...so I figured I would see what all of you might think. I'm thinking that I would love to be at the shows while Celine is recording because she is definately going to want to be at her best. BUT ...do you think they'll do alot of playbacks that night, like they seem to do on so many other of her recorded concerts? I certainly hope not. I want to Celine at her best!!! stevethefan Posted November 29, 2006 at 05:39 AM Posted November 29, 2006 at 05:39 AM I don't think they would be doing anything that different when they record these shows.I don't think they will change anything like adding any more playback. They are recording four or five shows that week, and then they will most likely use the best of those shows for the final DVD. It's good to record more than one show because it takes some of the pressure off the performers since they know they don't have to worry about making a mistake or two during one show. This show is so fine tuned and I doubt if they will have any problems. Quote

VinnyT. Posted January 4, 2007 at 02:21 PM Posted January 4, 2007 at 02:21 PM Celine Dion A New Day… Begins Its Final Year Las Vegas Blockbuster Prepares for Final Curtain Call on December 15, 2007 LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Last night Celine Dion and cast performed the first show in what will be the fifth and final year for A New Day…, the Las Vegas performance spectacular created by DRAGONE. The show is scheduled to close on December 15, 2007, after a landmark run at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, Las Vegas, where it has been presented by Chrysler since March 2003. “The fans have been so supportive of us, and I want to thank them for taking this journey with me. Working with Director Franco Dragone and a wonderful cast of the most incredible artists has given me the opportunity to interpret my music in a very different and profound way, and to share a unique experience with audiences from around the world every night,” said Celine Dion. “When I began this adventure four years ago, I had no idea how magical this experience truly would be. As we prepare ourselves to say goodbye, I know this will be the best year yet.” Nearly two-and-a-half million fans have experienced A New Day… since it opened in the $95 million Colosseum designed for the show. As the performance has evolved through the years, its status as one of the hottest tickets in Las Vegas has been a constant. “A New Day… has been a phenomenal success, and has surpassed anyone's expectations. That Celine still is selling out 4,000 seats a night after almost four years is a testament to her artistry, her passion and the connection that so many fans feel with her,” said John Meglen, president and co-CEO of AEG Live/Concerts West. “We expect this final year to hold great things for both first-time visitors and fans who will return to see how the show has changed, as we all celebrate Celine and everyone involved in this historic show.” A New Day… will continue to evolve in its final year, including new costumes and a stunning performance of “River Deep, Mountain High.” From January 17-21, the show will be filmed in high-definition for a soon-to-be-released TV special and DVD, which will include some very unique and entertaining behind-the-scenes bonus footage. The final block of tickets for performances from August through December will go on sale to the general public on March 1. Through a unique blend of concert, dance, theatre and multi-media, A New Day… transports audiences to a virtual world where each song shapes a universe of its own. Created by Franco Dragone, the performance is an artistic collection of powerful song and dance, fantastical imagery, reoccurring characters and special effects, including projected images that are stories high and sequences where objects and performers appear to float across the stage. The spectacle includes a cast of 50 dancers, musicians, incredible lighting effects, and the largest indoor LED screen in North America, which creates an ever-changing backdrop for the performances. Tickets are available now for performances from January through June by calling 1-877-4-CELINE or visiting www.ticketmaster.com, keyword "Celine Dion." Tickets also may be purchased in person at The Caesars Palace Box Office, open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. For groups of 20 or more, call 800-933-7110. Ticket prices are $87.50, $127.50, $175.00 and $225.00 (including 10% Live Entertainment Tax) plus applicable handling fees.
