seb - u ignore the fact that it's the second article that suggests the new album is due in 2007 + about the DVD - all i said is that they might take some parts of the DVD for the upcoming tv special instead of shooting a new special .

I can't imagine even in the FARTHEST way in how far they would use a footage from AND DVD to promote a new English album.

 

Perhaps a LIVE concert with her crew in March opening her tour + a new English album = all this filmed by CBS but a special plus a lame DVD footage!? No way.

 

Oh, and about the album - ritoutout mentioned only the French CD so far. Not a word about the English one. It may be pure speculation.I wish she'd say something more clear.

NO WAY!!! CBS special SUCKS, their cams SUCKS, their production SUCKS. I certainly don't want CBS involved in the DVD production at all. I won't forgive SONY if they just make the DVD from a crappy CBS special.

CBS wouldn't be involved with the DVD/BD, they'll use footages taken from the colloseum's cams.

Thats ridiculous Seb. Celine is a product and products are marketed and advertised. You don't expect Pepsi to come out with a new drink and not promote it. This isnt only about Celine but about all the people behind making this dvd that need to keep their jobs.

What is imprtant is SONY...

I was wondering...so I figured I would see what all of you might think. I'm thinking that I would love to be at the shows while Celine is recording because she is definately going to want to be at her best. BUT ...do you think they'll do alot of playbacks that night, like they seem to do on so many other of her recorded concerts? I certainly hope not. I want to Celine at her best!!! I don't think they would be doing anything that different when they record these shows.

I don't think they will change anything like adding any more playback. They are recording four or five shows that week, and then they will most likely use the best of those shows for the final DVD. It's good to record more than one show because it takes some of the pressure off the performers since they know they don't have to worry about making a mistake or two during one show. This show is so fine tuned and I doubt if they will have any problems.

I hope it will be a sold out show.....I'm a little worried if there are still TC seats left. I hope the seats aren't filled with "filler" people who just sit there and look boring. I would love to go, but it just didn't work out.

I thought the same actually BUT there will be some real fans in Vegas by that time and I'd rather have a loud cheery audience than full house of drunken gamblers who've been given free tickets just to fill out seats.

Las Vegas Blockbuster Prepares for Final Curtain Call on December 15, 2007

 

 

LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Last night Celine Dion and cast performed the first show in what will be the fifth and final year for A New Day…, the Las Vegas performance spectacular created by DRAGONE. The show is scheduled to close on December 15, 2007, after a landmark run at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, Las Vegas, where it has been presented by Chrysler since March 2003.

Working with Director Franco Dragone and a wonderful cast of the most incredible artists has given me the opportunity to interpret my music in a very different and profound way, and to share a unique experience with audiences from around the world every night,” said Celine Dion. “When I began this adventure four years ago, I had no idea how magical this experience truly would be. As we prepare ourselves to say goodbye, I know this will be the best year yet.”

 

Nearly two-and-a-half million fans have experienced A New Day… since it opened in the $95 million Colosseum designed for the show. As the performance has evolved through the years, its status as one of the hottest tickets in Las Vegas has been a constant.

 

“A New Day… has been a phenomenal success, and has surpassed anyone's expectations. The final block of tickets for performances from August through December will go on sale to the general public on March 1. Through a unique blend of concert, dance, theatre and multi-media, A New Day… transports audiences to a virtual world where each song shapes a universe of its own.
