I truly wish they would release it BOTH in one package. Really, just for the sake of Céline's vocal credibility. No one has to sit through such vocal mediocrity especially if they release it BEFORE the new recording. :/

YOU'RE RIGHT!!! SONY should release A New Day as one of the first and the most perfect BD releases, to really showcase the details of the show, and the power of their BD technology compare to the trash HD-DVD (which is supported trash Microsoft ).

the show is already shoot by HD cams. AND has HD cams installed everywhere since the very beginning. All SONY have to do is make a well producted BD release.

You need dual core at least to play h.264(.mov) format 1080p video well.

She doesn't need a promotion campaign for a DVD. She's never done that before as it simply doesn't pay off. It won't be a CBS special for sure.

They will show surly a rehearsal from 2002 from Belgium and with the new host of the show, Xtina Aguilera this time, the viewers will be told that this is the ultimate edn performance of the spectacle. Just like they lied in March 2003.

There will be another CBS special to promote the DVD for sure. It was already planned to air another "A new day..." special to promote the blonde-hair DVD back in 2004 but of course it wasn't aired because they didn't release the DVD.

 

But I don't worry about it because I think they will just cut some performances out of the DVD to show them on TV. I think it's a great idea to have another big "Céline special" on American TV.

Remains to be seen, tho, whether it'd be better for Céline to pull "the one we don't mention or speak about here" or just not to try hard to be a media-ho again. I am for the graceful option.

celine will use her next TV special (and there IS going to be one) to promote her next english album . maybe they will just show part of the DVD . it will be a smart idea to release the new album in time with the end of the show - media from all over the world will be there and the tv special will be to celebrate her last show and her new album - that's the best thing they can do .
