Just a couple of weeks ago the new CEO of Epic REaffirmed the interest of Sony in Céline's promotion.

 

Dear Brandon,

 

I not only have word from Celine Dion's label, I have word from Celine. Since her last album was released, there has been a shakeup in the executive ranks at her label. Charlie Walk was named President of Epic Records in December 2005. He reported to Don Ienner, chairman and CEO of the Sony Music Label Group, and Michele Anthony, president and chief operating officer. In June, Ienner and Anthony exited the company.

 

Chuck Taylor, senior editor of Radio & Records and singles reviews editor for Billboard, asked Walk about the label's commitment to Celine as an artist and Walk reaffirmed that commitment. Last month, Chuck met with Celine and her manager/husband Rene Angelil in Las Vegas. He asked them if they were working on a new project, and neither Celine nor Rene said that anything was in the works.

I'm not surprised if THE English album is in the works...

i think they told the truth actually . they spoke to this american reporter and the message is to the american readers - the readers there couldnt care less about her french records . the vegas DVD is not really a new project so...

uggghhhh.  sorry to be negative about this but im just frustrated!  her new costumes are nice but kind of mundane.  and she just cropped another song from the already shortened set list. they better add new songs before recording the dvd

The constumes have a black & white theme now.. Oh and don't worry, they will be adding new songs to the setlist soon.

I'd say they'll release the DVD in March-Springtime with lots of publicity to squeeze a bit of promotion for the show which will be ending soon after- It'll also raise Celine's profile a bit in French territories before the new album is released.

 

Celine and Rene like to be flashy and first off the mark so I wouldn't be surprised if the DVD is actually BR and fantabulous. Remember Celine's ANDHC was one of the first to use the "will not play on PC or Mac" technology- admittedly to the frustration of many- but I have high hopes.

Celine's All The Way album is one of the first to use SACD. ONCP is one of the few use that rookit copy-protection.

 

So SONY don't miss this chance of promoting BD!!!

There will be no promo for the DVD. They have thrown out much money already. Too much. It will be surely a quiet release. Just like the quiet release of ONCP which I yet have to get.

If they do any promo, they'll send a correspondant from Access Hollywood or Entertainment Tonight off to LV to chat with her and talk about the new DVD.

1. lossless audio

2. complete concert footage (of course) & 3 versions.

3. seat match feature...being able to select video and audio from the perspective of a number of potential "seats"

4. different audio tracks (audience mix/stage mix?)

5. backstage/rehearsal footage

6. in-movie experience with commentary from the artist/band members/crew etc. (feature only available on Blu-ray!)

7. Making of the show from start to finish, in depth interviews with Celine, band, engineers, and everyone responsible

8. I'd like to be able to see the full content from every camera used in this production!

9. Bonus material - songs that were removed, outtakes, etc..

That's why there should be a 4 disc deluxe version on 100GB blu-ray discs they'll have 50GB discs by the end of 2006, 100GB would be ready in time late next year

Great news. Celine is suprising us very much latelly.

 

I think that the dvd should include a bonus documentary with the evolution of the show "A New Day..." - 2003-2007 - and then show the songs removed, the other costumes, the terrible blond short hair...

no more talking about blu-ray, x-ray, bd, hd, dvd, cd, vcsd, i'm 1 of those who dont understand what is pixel, highger resolution etc etc etc, i'm already happy if i have that dvd in my collection and i can hold it with my hands :D

I don't see any interest in promoting a DVD (especially one that has been delayed so many times - the time it will come out, everyone will already have forgotten the show and Céline will enjoy retirement ) I hope much more she'll do a decent promotion for the new French album.

1. One complete show (all songs, the whole show all the way through)

2. Removed songs (all songs that were sung during the life of AND but that were removed)

3. Creation of AND (documentary about the making of the show...interviews with Franco, Mia, Mego, Celine, Rene, costume designers, dancers, musicians....footage of rehersals....footage of the concept and construction of the collesseum)

4. Evolution of AND (documentary going through all the different iterations of the show...song changes....costume changes...the hair....etc)

5. High Resolution photo gallery

 

Thats all I can think of for now

How about having one on of the discs a installation of the visualizations they use in the show for media players (WMP, REAL, etc...) (And I'm talking ALL of them! Even the ones they didn't use since the show opened!)

Right! Forgot about that one. Like maybe take the trip with her in the car to Caesars, then getting ready (hair, make up), meet and greets, some short clips of the show and maybe some backstage ones of her putting her hair up for MHWGO, and some after show things like more meet and greet and have it end with her in the car backing out of the Collesseum driveway.

 

Plus with the Creation of AND I'd really love to see sketches of costumes and scenery (like they have in the first show program)

 

And yea remykeys thats a really good idea too! That plust maybe in the high res photo gallery they can add high res shots of just the LED backgrounds used in the show. They'd make some nice widescreen wallpapers.

 

I think TC or CelineDion.com should open up a submission for where fans can send ideas or thoughts of what they'd like to see on the DVD. Then compile a list and send it off to the appropriate people.

Yeaaah i like the first one!!! But only longer whaha, see her waking up etc etc, from waking up till going to bed again... i would love to see it!!! and what u said, getting ready for the show, her hair, her dress changes during the show....

 

And about celinedion.com open a submission for ideas etc, is a really great idea, i really dont know how to let them know, and how soon they will do it...

So i thought that we collect many ideas here, and then send it directly to Rene, and one to Celine and Feeling etc... sometimes they dont read everything what they get, the more people the more change!!

 

i already collect some wishes from other people, they are most the same, many bonus, many dvds, diffrent shows, all the songs etc etc, maybe we can already make an beautiful letter with all our names or something
