Oh, and Koolan, I wouldn't worry about the show being too short for the DVD.  I think the reason they're pushing the film date to January is because of the upcoming song additions.  I"m sure by January the show will easily be back up to 20, if not 21 songs.

I totally agree. It's a shame that "Fever" isn't going to make it onto the DVD. :sigh: Oh well. I know I'm dreaming, but maybe she'll do "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" just for one night so the flying is at least on the DVD. I dobut it, but I can dream. LOL

Well, finally a date but I see the dvd commin out at the end of the whole deal!

I think it's a sahme that so many good songs are missing and we will probably never see them in HQ on a dvd!!!or can you imagine SONYBMG releasing another dvd with old performances of the show!??!?! I'm very disapointed

i thought they did... u can see short clips of tpol, lcmm, fever, tlym, ia... on teamceline, and they used it for many tv specials etc etc... biography etc...

 

i thought that that was also a whole filming...

Well, technically there is footage stored somewhere every night of each show. I mentioned this in a previous topic. They tape each and every show so they can review afterwards and the next day to see what they did excellent on and what needs to be either reworked or brushed up on. I think this is very common in any theatre production. So, yes, there is massive amounts of footage of her singing "Fever" with the long, brown hair - SOMEWHERE.

also - they r going to take the best performances from 3 or 4 diffrent conerts i guess and i just hope that unlike last time (with the live album) - they will make sure that the best renditions will be included .

Oh, I don't think you have to worry about certain songs being cut from it. On the other version every song is included - fully intact. I'm actually happy they're reshooting. The other version was horribly done. Poor camera angles, poor lighting, etc. Not a very professional looking DVD. There were MANY times when, during "Je t'aime encore," you couldn't see the English translation in the background. If the DVD had been released like that I just know that the general English-speaking public would have become annoyed.

those clips are not shoot for DVD, but for TV.

The new setlist really blows, why film when the show is not even "complete"?    Bottom line is they should've started filming earlier (before the 500th show and its changes, still with the long brown hair), not when the show is barely a "show" with it's limited number of songs.

 

Don't worry, I'm 99,9% sure they'll be adding new songs very soon (definately before mid-January)! It wouldn't really be an evolution if there would be less songs now, than there was in the previous recording.. They're shaking up the setlist a bit to make it different than the previous recording..

Well, first of all..time was running out, they still hadn't shot the DVD and shooting it in mid/late-2007 would be too late and just so very wrong. Also IMO it just didn't make any sense when Feeling wanted "the convention" to take place in January.. they knew part of the idea was to have it at or just before the last show. Why do it aaaall the way back in January?? Well immediately I thought of the DVD shooting..of course they want to make it look like a party and the best way to do that is to have as much fans there is possible! My feeling got stronger with all the recent changes; new costumes, song(s) removal, rumours of long & lots of rehearsals, etc. so I was just dead certain it would be the DVD. Though I was still quite shocked to actually read it was true.. The best part is: I was also planning to go to Vegas that very same week..LOL!

 

Are you referring to the short blonde hair one? I just hope they will have a video of EVERY song that were removed since the show's opening. It won't be complete without it!!

Yeah, the short blonde one [unfortunately].. Her previous wardrobe was all filmed on the last recording, unfortunately not with the long, brown hair, but it's still "on tape". I really hope they will have every song that was in the setlist during the show's run on the DVD, I might have a feeling that will happen, but knowing Sony (for all we know they only show clips of it)..

I think the chance is small. They shoot it in Jan. They need time to edit, publish, make discs... It would take more than 2 months I think.

We will have many songs we don't have now in the Blond-Hair DVD, plus we will have the stunning flying TFTEISYF. BTW, January is far away. Who knows what will happen to the show.

if someone there truely has a brain (and i doubt it) , they'll first of all shoot this entire thing LIVE - celine can sing all of those songs live for only 1 night .

second - they'll add for the DVD version the songs that were removed like the amazing TFTEISYF .

i dont know - maybe we should ask them to do so...specialy recording this 1 performance live!!

What are you talking about, gogo? They will shoot again and pay hunderds of thousands dollars ONCE AGAIN for 5 days. They will surely not change the set list from 18 to 24 like it was in March 2003.

 

Ronny, I highly doubt they will include the blond-DVD. HIGHLY. It'll be just the new recording on DVD/Blu-ray 1 and the two reportages where Céline had blond hair about her and the crew on DVD/blu-ray 2.

I doubt it too, they had 4 years to shoot it and waited until the show is almost over. It's like Falling Into You tour where they had a lot of possibilities and waited until the Memphis concert towards the end of the tour.

Well how many songs were performed that night? Plus it was all lip-synced and the gig was quite short.. Also, Celine's show in not comparable to a "normal" gig.. I guess it will take them at least 3-4 months for post-production, etc.

You know she won't sing live, gogo. You SO know it. You may be lucky, tho cuzz on some noght she indeed sings IS or IW fully live.

 

I mean I hope we will get this concert in Blu-Ray. IF Sony is serious about it they should shoot it this way. I wish there'd be a way to tell them.
