What are some of your pet-peeves?

 

Some of mine are:

- When someone claws a chalkboard (Oh, I hate that sound!)

- Eavesdroppers

- People who use the word F*** as every other word in a sentence.

- People who curse and yell on their cellphones in enclosed public places and public transportation.

- People who litter shamelessly.

- People who puts pressure on others for their own self-gain.

- People who enjoy putting gum under tables, chairs, and on walking spaces... and anywhere outside of a garbage can.

- Anything Paris Hilton.

- People who ignore emails and messages. SIMPLY rude.

People who imply something subersively in a conversation like saying "Your in a good mood today" implying that usually your not.

 

I also hate it when people bring up things that happened days, years, months ago when they had an opportunity to complain at the time it happened.

Where to begin! Well lets start on my favourite subject, cars.

-People who modify tiny engined cars and then stick enormous exhausts on them to make them louder (not to mention dump valves and the like....) And who put words like "Turbo" or "V-tec" or "GTi" or anything like that on cars that so obviously aren't! Toerags! grrr....

 

-People who use their cellphones when driving!

 

-Tailgaters

 

-People who sit in the overtaking lane of the motorway at exactly the speed limit and don't move over (You are not the police, if people want or need to pass you do not have the right to stop them)

 

-SUVs driven by people who don't need them (I know its cliche but I hate them anyway!)

 

And now for general life!

 

-People who call and then don't leave messages when you miss their call

 

-People who walk slowly

 

-Student nights in clubs

 

-Arrogant people (especially drunk arrogant people)

 

-People who complain about their circumstances but do nothing to change them

 

-Ambiguity in relationships and friendship (Let me know where I stand!!)

 

-People who don't say please or thank you!

 

-Dell

 

-People that don't pay their bills

- Stupid drivers (tailgaters, people going zig zag all over the road).

- YES, lazy people who don't leave feedback on eBay.

- Mud.

- The parking situation at school.

- People who TyPe LyK3 DIS!

- It would be nice if people tried to use caps or at least some kinda punctuation to avoid any confusion!

- People who ask if they can have a drink of whatever I'm drinking. Nothing personal, but EW.

- When I help someone and then they come and blame it on me.

- People who judge me, and think they know me.

- Tejano/TexMex music, rap, reagaeton, Norteño.

- People who blast their ugly music so loud that my walls and windows begin to vibrate!

- People who think they know everything and love to bring anyone down.

- When your talking to someone... and your pretty positive about something but they ALWAYS ALWAYS find something negative and try to go against you.

Tell me about it. I'm a young guy in a nice suit and a flash car and people think "a******" or "Rich daddy" and to that I say, bullshit. My dad is a working class man. I didn't have very much growing up. I worked bloody hard for what I had. I've been working since I was 15 years old. I used to go to school 40 hours a week, work 40 hours a week. When I left school I used to work about 70 hours a week. Now I work maybe 30. I've worked hard to get into this postition, I don't want people who have never worked a day in their life begrudging it!

But that factor is... If your name is not broadcasted on TV, newspapers, magazines, the media (in general), 99.9999999999% of people in this world will know nothing about you. And the sad thing is...people will normally associate people based on their skin color or their clothing. No one is ever going to know everything about another person. However, people feel more secured when they see another person dressed properly, not smelling funny, and have a positive demeanor.

 

Mazceline and Babymonkey, I and many people feel the same way you do.

 

Every day, I like to look my best. I'm not doing it for anybody... I'm doing it for myself. And people don't know my history or my family's history. Sometimes I would get asked... "So is this your car or your parent's car?" or "What do your parents do?" They don't realize that I run my own business, that I make my own money, and that I buy my own things.

 

Now lastly: I feel that it does not matter how wealthy or unwealthy you are... you should always try to look presentable everywhere you are.

 

 

Okay one more pet-peeve:

 

Annoying celebrities that I get bombarded with everytime I pick up a magazine...

well im tall blonde, medium build look like a bouncer people tell me, love tattoos have 14 all together on my wrists ect, i act quite lady like not butch, but people assume im gay, they are right but i hate that they judge you on your looks

That doesn't bother me so much though. My sexuality is my sexuality, but I worked bloody hard to be in the position I'm in right now and when people just assume I've got a wealthy father it annoys the hell out of me.

Pet peeves ... just naming a few or I'd go on and on and on....

 

- People who use your (well, mine in this case) artwork (speak: wallpapers) that you (I) made for your (my) website and re-post it in another forum without even asking the creator's permission nor crediting them in their post

- Same people who, when get caught, get mad at the creator and, just because creator's name is on the artwork, think there's nothing wrong with posting it despite a clear disclaimer on creator's website....

- People who use only lower case letters to write entire sentences. Very confusing sometimes.

- People who never use any punctuation

- Rude people who never watch their steps and because of whom I need to carry my little dog under my arm istead of letting her walk on the sidewalk

- People who don't clean up the sidewalk after their dogs finished their "big business".

 

Alright, I promised to name just a few, therefore I'm done ... for now.

~When that same person then complains because the thing you warned them about has happened.

 

~When my three year old daughter farts and then tells everyone in the room, very loudly

Really? I've come across more "Bolexes"! There is a big problem in Ireland with begrudgery. I made a choice a few years ago, I had to decide what it is I would need to do to fund the lifestyle that I like to lead. I did what I had to do, I worked very hard for it. I made a lifestyle choice and nothing would sway me from it.

 

One of my former teachers (who said that I would get nowhere in life) met me recently in town. He knew about fashion and he commented on the suit I was wearing. He said something along the lines of "Dunnes make them well these days" (Dunnes being something along the lines of JC Penneys) Not particularly liking this former teacher of mine (and pretty much being the a****** that I am) I replied "Do they? Personally I prefer Hugo Boss" to which his response was "Condescending bastard!"

 

Charming fellow! Really!

I actually have a suit tailored in house by Zegna. There was an event in Brown Thomas in Dublin about 6 months ago where you could buy one. It cost me an arm and a leg! Well 2 of each actually! I save it for special occasions. I can't afford to be wearing something like that everyday!

People think that immigrants are ignorant people and have no education, that bothers me. Most people here in the US look at us (Hispanics) like we are good for hard labor jobs only.

Many people get surprised when I tell them my age and how long I have lived in the US since my great success and lifestyle in such short period of time .

Pretentious people drive me nuts. When people talk about the kind of Mercedes they drive after just 10mins of conversation.

Many immigrants say they were forced to move to the states when there families lost millions of dollars in a bad business decision( I hear it soo often) or in a natural disaster when you know for sure is not true.

Many more pet-peeves but this is for now.

Yes, Zegna does make some of the silkiest and softest suits out there. But really, I think one of the best in the world is a suit tailor-made by the House of Brioni, Italy.

Yeah, I agree. Racial profiling is more than a pet-peeve to me... it's almost a crime against humanity!

 

Being ostentatious about your success and your career is an expression of joy and happiness in being able (or having been able) to attain and achieve something. Sometimes, people have a desire to be acknowledged, to be appreciated and to be applauded. It's not that much of a pet-peeve to me, because it is a human expression, but it really varies upon the type of environment, whom you're talking to, and the intentions of the speaker. A few of us here (including myself) may seem a bit pretentious when we're talking about success and happiness and that we are "backing it up" by saying that we've "worked hard" to achieve such and such. I hope that one person's success may be an inspiration to another person. However, it may not always be that way. One person's success may be offensive to another person. Based on watching the film "Little Miss Sunshine," I can agree that this world feels like it's a Big Beauty Pagaent. And in comparison, when the winner gets the crown, everyone is applauding for that winner, but I totally feel that half or less of the people are actually "happy" for the winner. That's just how the human race is: it's al race of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. What kind of life, liberty, and happiness? That is still yet to be decided upon by each individual.

Nice way to face the question.

Sometimes I ask people if they know or like Celine and they say "Hummm...is she that Titanic one?" It used to aggravate me, but nowadays I just think to myself HOW MUCH these people are missing...And once in a while it's good to have this "private" feeling about her. I myself love her and I believe that's all that matters...
