Will you marry me? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not sure yet if I can afford it! It was something of an impulse buy! It cost me €35k. It's a car I've wanted for about 3 years but haven't been able to afford it because of saving for stuff. But I think I'll be ok now. I just got a promotion and the company give me a car allowance which will help! We'll see! Thanks for the support all! It really is appreciated at this kinda tough time for me. We'll see how they get on over there. The company (a subsidiary of both Fiat and Ferrari... not to mention Maserati) is losing money hand over fist. But lets hope they pull through and continue to build cars as beautiful as these! Oh and check out this new Alfa that is going into production next year! Alfa Romeo Brera Alfa Romeo Spyder I'm so excited!!!NOBODY in my mid-sized American city has an Alfa Romeo. I've been here for well over a decade and have never seen one driven. I've been to many events at all our country clubs and special events, and they're usually littered with Mercedes Benz's, Lexus's, Infiniti's, Ferrari's and UK's Aston Martin's... but no ALFA ROMEOS! But next year, I'm planning on purchasing my next car! I've been looking and testing out a bunch of sedans, grand tourers, and roadsters. BUT now, I've added another option to my "multiple choice" car choice test: The BRERA looks SOOO HOT!!! LOL And you're right, it's NOT gonna be cheap, with all the import and luxury taxes imposed, this could end up costing 60g's and more! But it'd be nice to have something unique I feel that it's so splendid that you're using this opportunity to reward yourself. You've worked hard to deserve this promotion. Happy Success! babymonkey Posted December 5, 2007 at 08:16 AM Author Posted December 5, 2007 at 08:16 AM Decided to resurrect this thread! I wanted peoples opinion on my next car. Now that I'm in a place where its sunny all the time I want a convertible. And I'm in a place in my life where I want to have fun. So for that reason I was thinking of buying a Shelby Cobra... well not one of the original but a licenced replica. Like this... babymonkey Posted December 5, 2007 at 09:06 AM Author Posted December 5, 2007 at 09:06 AM Everyone would be welcome to a spin! I'll have to try and find a good one though. I'd love the 427 V8 but i don't think I could afford to run it so I'd have to get something smaller. Personally i'd be much happier in something like that than one of the more modern convertibles. ByuSmurf Posted December 9, 2007 at 03:18 AM Posted December 9, 2007 at 03:18 AM (edited) I like the Alpha Romeo GT MUCH better! Why is the steering wheel on the WRONG side? J/K Are the pedals reversed too? Don't laugh... I really want to know!I always want to know stupid stuff like that... just in case I cross over!I don't think I could ever learn to shift with my left hand or drive on the left side of the road.
