Well, I do believe that she is going to take a MUCH NEEDED rest after Vegas is done. Move back to FL, get settled in (like someone else said about Rene getting into school), try to get pregnant again, etc.

 

I also believe that she is definately going to tour again. There have been quite a few albums released since she "came back" that haven't had a real chance of being displayed on tour. "Ten Days," "I Surrender," "In Some Small Way," "Je ne vous oublie pas," "I Drove All Night," "Tous les secrets," "Faith," "Miracle," etc. It's just a matter of time until we see her back in town (or close to it).

Although I now live in London, I wuld love Celine to do N.ireland, either Belfast or Derry, as she was to in 1999, but obviously due to Renes health she cancelled, that was to be her 1st tour in the north of Ireland, she has a crazy amout of fans there!!!!

 

If this tour is true, I can defnately catch her in London, but I would fly home to see her if she was to do that gig....

So right. She has been working her @$$ off for the past 4 years and she deserves a good rest. A very good and long rest.

We don't know that she wants a long rest though. She specifically said being in Paris made her change her views on being away and she wanted to come back sooner. Of course if the plans for a child works out then she basically has no choice but if she is unlucky and the IVF doesn't work this time she will be far less likely to want years and years to rest. I personally don't mind waiting a good few years for her to return to touring but at the moment we don't know either way what will happen.

Yep! As Celine says often, you stay home all the time and you want to be away but when you're away all of the time, all you want to do is be back home. I think she would get itchy feet and want to be doing something again and she's already done the Vegas thing so perhaps a new tour would be good for her. And besides, Rene's cash cow can bring heaps of money in touring the world...... lol

I think it's better for her to take a rest. You have all seen how hard it is in Vegas for her. It's just too much. She has 2 or 3 pages on her biography all about her vacation plans. And I hope she makes it first. There is no need for an exhausted Céline touring the world. She needs a long rest. It's been a longtime since touring was her priority. I guess that's what most people don't understand. Last time I checked her priority was family. And don't see her leaving Vegas and touring right away when her son has to move to another house, another enviroment, to another teacher.... that's just too much.

Well, that's just be speculating. And before it's confirmed, it's all rumours anyways.

If Céline WERE to tour big after Vegas you should expect to sound like she did during the LTAL days aka 40% lipped plus tired, nasal, extremely forced (Au Coeur Du Stade) voice all over. That's not about it. She deserves a rest after Vegas.

Uhm, we are not doubting Celine needs a rest, coz she certainly does.. and we think so too.. The thing is, does Céline herself think she needs a [loooong] rest too? Is she able to pull that off? I personally don't think so..lol

I don't think there's many of us who expect her to finish her Vegas show and run and jump on a plane to Europe. I think the article that mentioned the major world tour had it's dates wrong because I personally don't expect a tour for three of four years at least. She does need a rest but as I said, we just don't know what Celine wants these days. One minute they tell us nothing is happening and the next minute they announce a new album! One day Celine says she wants to go on vacation and the next she says she misses touring and wants to come back sooner. I'm not sure if even Celine knows what her plans are since they enjoy life much more and take things day by day but I think a tour is a real possibility.

She will do wotever she thinks is right I'm sure. She's a professional after all and she knows herself best. And she needs to prepare for the tour as well so I'm guessing late 2008 early 2009 the tour will kick off.

I think it is possible for Celine to slow down a bit and still tour. She is working quite a heavy schedule at the moment, in quite an inhospitable environment. But if she were to travel in Europe, taking her time and stopping for one or two shows per week I think that would be good for her. I would love to do something like that! But, she also has Rene Charles to think of. He sounds he's quite a sensitive little man, and it's whether he could travel with her or cope with mommy being away for periods of time. It's not ideal really. I think we have some exciting thoughts on what might happen, and there is nothing wrong with that, but let's not get our hopes up on any one thing. I'm sure when Celine finally plans her next steps it will be something really cool and she will make alot of fans very happy! For now, lets just keep those dreams alive!!!!

I agree leeny....celine aint that old, she i so fit and full of life, vegas shows that.... celine does alot of shows but hey its 90 mins a night 5 nihts a week, and she has alot of time off also.

look at ordinary ppl, 24 hr shifts, or 40 hr weeks plus oftertime..... celine can do it!!!

Like touring was just singing 90 minutes a night and nothing else... that would be easy.

It's not just Céline, it's for everyone. Travelling everyday is hard. There is always appearences, interviews to do in the meantime, photoshoots, whatever. And the preparation for the show takes time: the sound check, the make up, the people you meet before and after the show. Being on tour it's not easy if you're Céline or the Pussycat Dolls.

Now add a child in the middle (do you seriously believe Céline would leave RC behind? Even Patrick Angelil said if they ever tour again he will bring his family along) of all of this. Add the care about the voice (don't do this, don't go there, don't speak, don't laugh too hard). This is not easy.

 

Yes, people work 40 hours a week, some take 12 hours shifts. But Celine is not used to it . And it won't be after 40 years old that she will learn.

 

It's so easy to sit here and tell she can do this or this and that but she is not a robot and has changed priorities.

I can't imagine that Celine would go on any kind of big world tour right after finishing up her LV gig. I'm sure she will take a well deserved break for at least a few months or even a year. I definitely could see her maybe first doing some shows outside of North America, especially in Europe, France especially. I think she is aware that even though she has been in LV for the last few years so fans could go to see her, she knows alot of her fans are unable to go to LV, especially people from ouside of North America. Those people miss her past touring which would make it easier to see her in concert in their city.

 

My own feeling is that at some point, maybe not for a few years, she will do some sort of "standard" world tour. Maybe it will be scaled down, but I'm sure she would want to do it for her fans.

 

There is a famous french singer/actor named Charles Aznavour that is currently doing his final world tour this year. I noticed that he will be in my area next week. He was born in 1924! If he can do it at that age I'm sure Celine has at least a few more tours left for us!

I really doubt this "major world tour" rumor. There is no sign of a new English album and in the past every time she went on tour it was after she had released a new album. I think it's more possible she will do some dates in francophone countries in 2008 to promote the new French album.

I also hope it wont be like Let's Talk About Love tour. First, I doubt she still can fill those big stadiums and moreover for the fans it is also better if she performs on a smaller scale. Nobody wants to spend a fortune to see a tiny pea moving on stage from the distance or get a hurting neck from starring at a screen.

I really hope she'll do some small, live concerts, and also if she comes to France, that she will really tour the country and not just some concerts in Paris, like for example Mylene Farmer, who sang a few nights in Bercy and called that a "tour"

i hope is true!!!!!! a world tour!!!fingers crossed but..why are you only talking about europe???is not fair she should come to mexico, brazil.... we can't go to europe is to expensive, at least i can't and i would love to sdee her in concert, even if is a small one...
