lordspootnik Posted September 3, 2006 at 12:15 AM Posted September 3, 2006 at 12:15 AM "The curse strikes the health of her close relative""Celine vis-a-vis the drama of cancer" "She can be rich, be adored by the whole world, her husband and his son, but that does not prevent from finding that life can sometimes be extremely cruel when it is about diseases". It is the article published in the French magazine “France Dimanche” speaking about the evil chance of Celine vis-à-vis the diseases. All starts with the death of her niece, Karine (16 years), it was really hard for celine to accept this lost. In 1999, René was reached of a cancer which was cured. In 2001, her best friend, André Delambre die of an incurable disease (Selérose Latéral Amyotrophique). The curse continues, in November 2003, Adhémar, her cherished father, dies of a lung cancer. A little later, Jimmy, the son of her brother Jacques, becomes quadriplegic following an accident. Two years later, Clement, her adored brother, had heart problems. In the middle while one of her sisters; Lisette comes very close to infarction. The fate is baited once again, the Dion clan must today face the drama of cancer. This time, it is Daniel; her 49 years old brother is struck of full whip by the disease. Daniel has found that he had a bump in the throat. A celine quote : "Life is an invaluable gift. And it passes so quickly. One should never wait too long time let express what one has of richer and truer, all at the bottom of the heart. That's how the most beautiful dreams are carried out." - Celine Dion Sorry for my english, hope my translation was good, I've tried my best. Let me know ? stevethefan Posted September 3, 2006 at 03:17 AM Posted September 3, 2006 at 03:17 AM Thanks for the translation. Unfortunately, I think this "curse" is really a curse for most everyone now. Most people know of at least a few friends or family that have or had some form of cancer or some other horrible disease. Since Celine has such a large family and extended family it's only natural that she would know more people with various diseases like this. I don't like the way the newspaper tries to sensationalize this by saying it's a "curse", but I guess that's what those newspapers are in the business of doing. Celine and Rene give so much money and time to the various charities they support which is a good thing. Quote
Mozinha Posted September 3, 2006 at 08:45 AM Posted September 3, 2006 at 08:45 AM Jesus... I hope they are all ok. But, first of all, how reliable is this magazine? The last time I bought it, it reported Céline had fallen on her butt while reahersing for AND and had gone to hospital with terrible pain and couldn't sit down. Obviously A LIE.
