Unfortunately, I think this "curse" is really a curse for most everyone now. Most people know of at least a few friends or family that have or had some form of cancer or some other horrible disease. Since Celine has such a large family and extended family it's only natural that she would know more people with various diseases like this. I don't like the way the newspaper tries to sensationalize this by saying it's a "curse", but I guess that's what those newspapers are in the business of doing.
