"Easiest Song"...

I came up with this poll after remembering Celine had said when she went back in to the studio to record the album A New Day Has Come that her voice wasn't as "stretchy." So, she started recording the easiest song(s) and worked her way up. So, with that said, which one do you think was the easiest for her to record? For me I'd have to say "Rain, Tax (It's Inevitable)."

i thinck that "ten days" isn't a dificult song to sing, so i talk only for my own opinion

she said she didn't record TEN DAYS until december or something really late, so it couldn't have been that, so that should be taken out the poll...and she didn't sing ANDHC until September...

 

i think the majority of the album was recorded in june

How can you guys think that At Last or Nature Boy were easy songs to sing?! At Last has been categorized as one of the most difficult songs to sing ever! She makes it sound easy, but that's because it's Celine. Also, Nature Boy is just haunting...and it's far from easy.

 

Easy songs: Rain, Tax, Superlove, Ten Days(this song was added once the entire album was complete because Celine wanted to include it)

Ten days is the only song by Céline that I can sing without embarrassing myself. This means it's the easier one LOL.

i'd say Ten Days. easiest among the lot

Even though it may not seem like it, "At last" and "Nature boy" are easy to sing for Celine - maybe they are exactly in the right portion of her range, maybe her voice glides along them without major efforts - dunno, but I am pretty sure she consideres them easy to sing.

 

You know why?! Because during the promotion period of ANDHC when we all know her voice wasn't at all in top shape, she chose to do these song really often. Also, along with "I'm alive", she chose them for the Vegas show - we all suspect it had something to do with the fact these songs don't put too much strain on her voice.

 

So I suppose these were among the first she recorded

I know! It's funny how people are so oblivious sometimes....and I'm to blame sometimes too, so this isn't towards any one person!

 

I like "Ten Days"....it seemed to be one of the songs that Celine REALLY wanted to record for the album. So I like to know that when I listen to it.

It seems like Rain, Tax would be to me since it's kind of upbeat and seems simple lyrically.

A lot of the songs that Celine sings are challenging vocally, not just for range or volume, but the amount of "flourish" that she gives each individual note. Celine's voice tends to glide pretty effortlessly through low notes, high notes, long notes, notes that seem to warble right through a whole scale!

 

The song that I think would be less challenging on this album would probably be At Last, as even though she does give it some volume and power, it is actually quite a simple song to sing. It's certainly one that I find quite easy to sing!
