FLAWLESS - Super Dave Show 1991

I have never EVER seen Céline singing "Where Does My HEart Beat Now?" so flawlessly. If you haven't watched that show, whoa - forget Live A L'Olympia which was mediocre at best in comparison to what she delivered on that Canadian show back in 1991! She was FLAWLESS vocally - I didn't realize she was singing live until the second stanza, I mean it was so perfect. And this big "fly-note" in the finale OMG

 

Anyone agrees? She was marvelous and this is by FAR light years the BEST live rendition on the song. Simply no words to describe and made me like this song even more.

Cause more French songs in it. flawless vocally, better outfit, and she sang with an orchestra.

We'd share this great concert in HQ sooner or later. I think I'd make some screencaps first.

I loved her simple look that night and the clear voice; it's indeed one of the best performances of this song, if not the best. Wintergarden is great too, but you can clearly see she's trying to impress. Here, there's... pure emotion.

I think Wintergarden is overrated. Her vocal was not good on that concert. I find she struggles a lot on many notes. 10 Ans Deja is the best so far.

I don't think there is a vocal issue concerning Wintergarden. It's plain to see she's under some pressure there, probably knowing they're gonna put this show on her first VHS for the American audience. She was still a struggling artist and the strain of being perfect can really be a pain in the #ss sometimes, sorry about the expression. Still, she sounded quite at ease on "Delivre-moi" and a few others. I liked the way she begun the song.

 

Anyway, back to 10 Ans Deja, she looks and acts lovely, all her gestures and p'tite dance thingies are so natural... there is so much love coming from the audience and you can see the hall is packed with fans. Vocally, it's a magnificent concert and the song choice is also great. She should still sing those songs once in a while.

I just downloaded (it took me 7 times before it would play all the way through! ) and wacthed WDMHBN on the Super Dave show.  Great performance!  I loooove the flyyyyyyyyyyyyy note!    It's really funny to watch her earlier performances though, she just stands there!
