A night to remember

I don't even know where to begin...

 

Ever and I saw "A New Day" tonight. We were super lucky and were able to get front row tickets. I was a bit worried for a little while because it was 7:30pm and we still hadn't gotten ANY tickets yet. At about 7:40, we were given the tickets and we only had 30 minutes to get back to our hotel, get ready and get back to Caesar's. Needless to say we made it with plenty of time to spare.

 

The show started about 15 minutes late, as usual. Celine came out in the first of 5 new outfits. The first one was an all black dress, very little-house-on-the-prairie-ish, with a big bow below her chin and large puffy sleeves. After "A New Day Has Come" the black dress was removed to reveal an incredibly sexy white/off white suit. The tight leather pants laced up the back silhouetting her long legs, the blouse was off white, lacy and semi see-through. It had that frayed, torn look at the bottom. And the jacket was white, fitted and landed just above the waist. Celine wore this until she changed for "I Surrender". The dress she wears for this song is now the same white and gold dress that she wore for the 500th show. Following "I Surrender" she changed into her black pants outfit. The outfit still had the same black suspenders and black and white shoes but instead of the white shirt she now wears a see-through black lacy top. Finally after "I Drove All Night" Celine made her final change into a new light pink dress. The dress was BEAUTIFUL! It has a nice rounded neckline, with slightly puffy cap sleeves and a high empire waist covered in diamonds (or at least beautiful fakes LOL).

 

The songs were the same as usual except "At Last" and "Fever" were removed and replaced with "All The Way". During "If I Could" I started sobbing. It usually doesn't effect me that much but being that I just left my little sister in CA I guess I was feeling extra emotional. At one point Celine saw me crying, and tilted her head in my direction, then she actually began crying herself. In the song she missed a whole line but smoothly improvised with a little hum.

 

The show was coming to an end like it always does and I was starting to feel a little sad then it came to the time where she gets a rose from Elijah and gives it to a person in the audience. This time I saw her ask Elijah for 2 roses and I actually got a little excited. I thought just maybe this time would be my time to get the rose. When Elijah gave her both roses she turned, walked down the stage, down the steps and right to ME! When I saw her coming I started shaking so hard. She approached me and put her arms around me. I wrapped my arms around her and repeated over and over "Thank you, Thank you soooo much". Her head was resting on my shoulder and her hand was lightly grazing my back. Her skin was so soft and it wasn't until then that I realized how small she is. We were both wearing heels and she was a little smaller than me (I'm only 5'6"). Celine stepped back, handed me the rose and gave me that little look, you know the one that gives you chills, and then she walked to orch3 and gave a woman who was pregnant the second rose. Before she walked back on the stage, she gave me a little glance and a smile. I was still shaking and crying as she gave her final bow and as she walked to the right of the stage she gave me one last look. I don't think I stopped shaking for a good 20 minutes. It was amazing!

 

After we left the colosseum, we were standing outside waiting for our pictures when we saw Patrick Angelil. I gave him a little smile when he looked my way and then Ever decided to go over and say hi. A second later I joined him. It turns out he is a super nice guy. We chatted for a few seconds and he even joked with us about getting together for a party. It was super cool.

 

When Ever and I were leaving we walked past the box office and saw Ramona. It turned out she saw the show also from row CC. It was a nice surprise, hopefully we run into her later too.

 

Well that's it, I guess I'm still on a bit of a Celine induced high. Now off to find food!

Saw the show again last night. I wanted to get a different perspective so we sat in 1Mezz4 row B. It was ok. Celine was amazing like usual but sitting back that far, you really miss the closeness. It feels more like you are watching a movie than seeing people preform live. Celine had a lot of energy and did more talking than usual.

 

From outside the doors in 1Mezz you can really hear Celine warming up before the show. It's really amazing to hear her getting ready.

 

During "If I Could" she messed up again, it's as if she can't seem to remember the words to the song anymore.

Hey Stacy we both have been so lucky!!! The night you got the rose I was a little bit far away from the stage but on August 17th I got the rose!

I was trembling and I couldn't function for 20 minutes after the show was done !

It's an incredible emotion to see Celine coming towards you and hug you in that special way!!!! I'll never forget that moment!
