Rare Celine photos with a reporter

Please help guys! I found these pictures (about 20 of them) on a site a few years ago but I don't know who the man is. All the info I have is that he's a reporter and his name is Roger. What about the surname?!...

The pictures are from different periods of Celine's career, starting around '84-'85 and going all the way to the LTAL era.

There are pictures with Celine, the reporter & Rene so I don't think it had anything to do with it...

 

There was a small detail in the first picture I failed to notice, despite my "fine researcher" skills Teodora saw it and this is what she said:

 

I don't know his name, but he's from Hebdo Vedettes.... it says so on the cake from the first picture. [...] It says Happy Bday Celine on the cake too. By her looks, I'd say the first one was taken during her 20th bday.

He is Roger Sylvain, a famous Quebec reporter.
