"in his touch" appreciation thread

it's not a secret that i hate the OH album and think it's celine's worst album to date HOWEVER there is 1 song there that for me is one of her most emotional songs ever. it's strange cause max martin wrote it and 99% of the things he writes are 100% crap .

IN HIS TOUCH is just one of those songs that would never get old for me , it's timeless and even 10 years from now it will still give me the creeps - the lyrics , her vocals , the music - amazing .

 

sony could release it as a single ofcours to promote the album instead of releasing "one heart" as a single....but just like they didnt release the best and most loved song from ANDHC - "i surrender" , they didnt do it here.

 

i hope that in the future celine's team would listen more to the fans because that's the secret for her future success .

First of all, OH is one of my favourite albums.Secondly, Max Martin writes beautiful songs.Not all the great songs should be released as singles.The singles for OH were launched for commercial purpose only.The singles shoudn't influence the quality of an album.And this album is very good.

 

For "In His Touch", it's one of her best modern songs ever...It'a treasure...Celine totally feels this song...It's a realistic song...it's sad, but makes us face the truth in a relationship....Great song!

Whatever....so you listen to an album only if it has success singles...It was Chrysler's idea, not Celine's...It was part of the Las Vegas contract...And those songs were great.

not really . i listen to many albums from many artists that flopped big time , and i still like it. i think that there r maybe 2 quality songs in OH and that's the most important thing .

 

anyway . back to the topic - IHT is a great song and i wish celine could sing it live sometime in the future tho i know it would never happen.

Exactly. OH is the #9 best selling album world wide in 2003 according to IFPI. If that's a flop, then there're only 8 albums are not flops in 2003?

celine is not singing many of her greatest hits , not to mention all the other great songs that were not released as singles.

i know celine cant sing everything everynight but they could change the list of songs much more...

i'm not comparing celine to other artists guys , for celine - it's a flop and more important that that - the album damaged her reputation as one of the world's greatest voices ever - she is singing there pop trash songs that even britney can sing easily...

 

i truely think celine learned something from OH and in recent interviews she said that in the future it's gonna be more about the quality and less about the quantity - which means less albums but better ones .

I think people here are confusing because a flop sold over 7 millions is still a flop, Céline is not the best selling female singer all the time, nowadays there are so destructiv ways for an artist to sell less!
