Does Celine ever annoy you?

"Annoying" is a big word. I mean, if I didn't like her, I would've spent that much money to go and see her in Vegas, or even in Paris.

What "annoys" me is when she overexaggerates (up to a certain extent) and repeats stuff often during interviews (I know it's not her fault). But, I still love her to pieces Nobody is flawless.

It kind of irritates me when she says the exact things over and over. But to be fair most of the interviews that I've watched were from after her long break. So i guess it is expected that most questions would be the same.

Even though I love Celine I admit that this things have dessapointed me:

*Lipsnching on live shows for wich people pay: Unacceptable

*Overeacting feelings on speeches.

*Lately she seems to do everything as an office type of job: it looks as though after ANDHC she doesnn´t care that much about making a smash hit album. She´s getting used to making music for 50 year people: Il Divo, now Tony Bennet, the Vegas tracklist. Always playing safe (in terms of musical choices).

It annoys me that so many things are being released and I'm too poor to buy them!

it annoys me the songs she performs are so predicatable:

 

Uptempo: Love Can Move Mountains

Ballad: Because You Loved Me

 

Obviously MHWGO is another song she performs lots of but it's her signature song so i'll let that slide.

Lip synching has always been a problem for me and saying the same thing in too many interviews( in English and French).

I agree with you!

I get really fed up with all those questions about Vegas and her son, and her answers would always be "I have new priorities and it feels really good to sleep in the same pillow every night, and pick my own tomatoes" etc...

I mean, I understand it's something they'll ask, it's inevitable, but I miss interviews about music, career, voice, projects, you know...

BUT, of course, she's absolutely perfect in all the rest, so I have virtually nothing to complain about. Celine, we worship you!!!!!!!

I've watched some of Celine's previous interviews and something about Celine that really made me feel 'embarrassed' or annoyed was that she didn't wait till the interviewers finished their words then only she replied. Sometimes she simply likes to talk or talks too much and she couldn't wait and give chances to others to talk or let them finish their words before she talks. That really annoys me. Such attitude of her sometimes made the interview sessions look a little bit embarrassing for me.

Here are some of the things that annoy me or that I think is quite odd:

 

- Those squeeky chipmunk notes that she does during "Love Can Move Mountains." AND there a few times when she SCREAMS chipmunk notes, she sounds like a chipmunk that's about be run over.

 

- The foot dance during TTWII

 

- Using the word "pretentious" grammatically incorrectly... (just a little)

 

- Like Adam said, YES she interrupts her interviewers!!! She's almost as bad as Oprah at times!

 

- Lipping to a pre-recorded track and showing wayyy too much emotion. When she was in Paris this year, I think she only sang like 3 out of 30 song performances live. I actually don't mind her lipping some performances in "A New Day" because she's only doing it for 4-5 songs and she has a commitment to her contract, but OMG, to be in Paris with new singers Il Divo and to be a LEGEND and say, "Hey Guys, we're gonna LIP today!" is soooo ridiculous.

 

- Well, I wrote earlier in this thread, I wrote about the protection of image and reputation by having a fixed agenda of what to say on TV.... however, the talk about RC, the diaper changes, the "first this, first that" is getting quite OLD!

 

Yes, I adore Celine dearly, but I do NOT worship her and yes, she can get annoying!

She had sung many more than 3 live songs in Paris last year. And Il Divo lipped their own songs on TV shows and in their concerts too, so don't blame Celine for that.

Her interviews can be very annoying. She repeats the same things over and over again. When she talks about babies and motherhood, she seems like a lunatic
