In less than 2 years from now, the world will experience one of the most amazing Olympics ever!

 

I have never seen any country more excited, more happy to have The Olympics in their homeland. There is so much excitement, pride, and glory! I am overjoyed, filled with teary eyes seeing the beauty of the arts, the culture, the spirit of humanity and, especially, the Olympic SPIRIT that is expressed through this spectacular moment in human history (this moment which will soon come).

 

I am strucked in awe at the heart when I see some of the things that they are building in Beijing:

 

Beijing National Stadium

 

Beijing's magnificient Olympic Forest Park

 

National Aquatics Center

I simply LOVE IT!

 

Everything they are doing from advancements in technology, environmental concerns, and many contributions to the well-being of humanity came as a result of not only the prosperity of the economy of China, but because of them looking forward to opening their doors to the World in 2008!

 

I am so excited, and I can't wait to be there!

BTW, my office is right beside the Olympics Park. I can walk to there in 15 minutes. And I can see the National Stadium and Aquatics Center main building are almost accomplished.

I wonder what the prices will be to attend the Olympics. I would love to go there for the time of the Olympics except of course they will eat my Edward! LOL! It all looks so promising.

 

What I find pity, tho, that they are destroying much of cultural and historic inheritance of Peking.

not really. most of cultural and historic inheritance of Peking were destroied around 1950-1980. and the Olympic park is not built in the center of Beijing. It's a very large area has nothing before.

I don't quite like this torch actually. I think the torch of Sydney 2000 is the best of all.

I think our medal design is quite nice though.

I prefer the winter olympics better. i love BIATHLON!!!!!!!!!!!! and Sven Fisher.. oh , he is hottttt!!! i love the whole german team, both men and women's teams. and i like cross country skiing. haven't really watched the summer olympics sincs Sydney when Erki Nool won the gold in decathlon!!!! too bad LA did not get a bid for summer olympics in 2016 (?).

 

but i really really hope to go to the winter 2010 olympics in Canada.

I wish I could go to the Olympics. I'm expecting nothing but the best from China. It's gonna be fenomenal.

I remember 3 years ago the Chinese delegation went to Athens on the closing ceremony to get the official flag and flame and they stole the whole show!

BTW, Athens had the worst opening and closing ceremonies I've seen in years. It was deadly boring. China's 15 minute show was the best thing of the whole ceremony. I like color and joy at these ceremonies which I think Athens lacked.

 

I'm very excited for the Olympics!!!!!! I'm ready to spend many nights awake, especially for gymnastics, especially for Chinese gymnasts!
