So I have seen some of you agree with the choice of You and I as a single from AND...LILV but some of you would prefer if Ain't Gonna Look The Other Way would be released as a single (actual topic now since Keisha White released it, as you already know). IMHO You and I is a more radio friendly song while Ain't Gonna Look The Other Way is a deeper rock ballad. It just depends which kind of song one likes better.... Maybe they should have released both (to please everyone :msn-wink: )

So let's make it straight! Which one is your "candidate"?

I've always preferred Ain't Gonna Look The Other Way over You and I - but that often happens to me :D My favourite(s) on any of Céline's albums have never been released as singles :confused:

I LOVE "Ain't gonna look the other way"!! So intense but a little blue...

"You and I" is a lighter song, I mean, it's also pleasant to listen to, but doesn't sound as powerful as the other one...

Celine CAN STILL release "Ain't Gonna Look the Other Way" if she wants.

 

It's the most recent English album.

Plus, she's still LIVE in Vegas.

 

And look at LeAnn Rimes and Trisha Yearwood - they released "How Do I Live" around the same time also!

I picked "You And I." The music video is great! I love the scene when the airplane soars over her head and she does the cool arm motion to it! It's a shame the song didn't get the promotion it deserved. I understand it was recorded for a Canadian airline, but it could have done so much better if a CD single had been released, or had the song been added to the show a month or so prior to the album releasing. But, as we all know, the fans never get their way. HMPH! :evil:

I voted for You & I. It's much radio friendlier and in Germany my impression was that the song was pretty successful on the radio.

also, i listened to the version of this song by that chick from the UK and, while i consider it to be "acceptable", CELINE's totally blows hers away...

I hope not. One song on two albums : They already did it with "Have you ever been in love" and it didn't really work.

Deffinately Ain't gona look the other way. I always thought it was a better song than You and I. And the vocals are just fabulous. You and I is a good song, but just a bit too ditsy really.
