Rumours About New Show Songs

Rumours about new songs possibly being added to A New Day... have been circulating. At this time, new songs are being considered, but nothing is 100% confirmed. Song list changes for the show are often discussed. New songs may be selected one day and then changed the next. Currently, the song list is under review and potential new material is being discussed with Franco Dragone. Until these decisions are final and official, we cannot confirm this information and song changes should still be considered a rumour. Please stay tuned!

 

Finally something from celinedion.com, still nothing special but its more then the rumours we know!!

From the "official statement" we could understand that Franco would create something new. Oh God let it be an old song, never sung live before... like "With this tear" ~ OMG!!!

Thank you for the info! Hopefully they'd be adding a forgotten gem to the show.... Some songs don't deserve to be forgotten I also hope we'll also hear some official news about new English or French songs.... not for the show....

It would be great if Celine could include some 90's hits, like TT, TTWII, WDMHBN or IYAMT!

I'm happy they mentioned Franco cause if they do add new songs I'd really like to see something NEW. Since all the new songs we've seen lately use re-use images and props from other songs.

i concur; i think that WHERE DOES MY HEART BEAT NOW is one of her finest live songs, so much better and more important, significant than the so overdone, rehashed, and basically "milked" LOVE YOU CAN MOVE MOUNTAINS. i don't mean to attack LCMM, but it does seem that her latest performances of it (e.g., at LIVE 8, at the WMAs) have been little short of abominable.

 

i still love CELINE; i simply have a few issues with this song; i wish she would sing it more like she did on ARSENIO HALL...

I honestly think that with this particular show, Celine should stick with huge production quality songs. Therefore, some of those 90s hits like "That's the way it is" or "If you ask me to" would just be out of place and not really have a special production along with them. I adore all of those songs, but I think they should hold off and add those back on when she tours again.

 

I agree with "With this tear"....it has the potential for a fantastic dance along with her vocals. It would be a great emotional song to add to the journey we take with her during this show.

Finally... some news

 

If Franco Dragone is involved it's because they are thinking in some real changes on the show.

 

I think it's time to give our opinion about songs that we would love to be included on "A New Day...".

 

Let's make a petition and send our suggestions to celinedion.com?

 

I would love if Celine sing this songs in Las Vegas:

 

- I Want You To Need Me;

 

- The Prayer;

 

- I'm Your Angel;

 

- Us;

 

- River Deep Mountain High;

 

- Natural Women;

 

- Les Blues du Businessman;

 

- Why Oh Why;

 

- The Colour of my Love;

 

- All By Myself...

I'm very happy to hear that they are indeed doing some changes to the show and that Franco will be involved somehow. It's time for a MAJOR overhaul of the show. Get rid of "What A Wonderful World," "I Wish," and "Love Can Move Mountains." Personally I'd be happy to see "If I Could" go, but I know it's near and dear to Céline's heart so I can see why it would stay. Of course removing it and replacing it with "The Colour Of My Love" would be cool - A Celine original, plus a song that's also near and dear to her heart!

 

It's kind of ironic that this came up this morning because I had a very weird dream about being at Celine's show and that an alarm kept sounding while she was singing TLYM. Well, she stopped singing and asked someone to stop the alarm so she could continue. After it did she continued and the lipping track started going super fast like Alvin & The Chipmunks! Her and Rene ended up making an apology to the audience about the mess up and the fact she was lipping. Anyway, the show continued and then I met up with someone on the show's staff that took me backstage so I could meet Celine and Rene. I met some of the dancers, technicians, etc. Well, on my way I passed a table that had the booklet of show ideas I had sent into Franco and Rene. Needless to say I had wake up for work before the dream had a chance to end! Maybe tonight I'll have the conclusion to it and find out if I get to meet Celine and if my ideas go into effect! LOL
