Clay Aiken's New Album Hits Stores Sept. 19

RALEIGH, N.C. -- Raleigh native and former American Idol runner-up Clay Aiken is expected to release a new album this fall.

A Thousand Different Ways" hits stores Sept. 19, and is expected to include 10 remakes of well-known songs from the past three decades, as well as four never-before released songs.

The album reportedly features tracks made famous by Richard Marx, Elton John, Foreigner, Mr. Mister, Celine Dion and Dolly Parton.

The new release, from RCA Records, is Clay's third album since his run on Season 2 of American Idol. In 2003, he released his debut album, "Measure of a Man," which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard album chart.

Aiken's holiday album, "Merry Christmas With Love," was released in 2004.

wish they would cover a non-single instead...so there will 2 new albums on the shelves which contain a Celine cover, that's good promotion for her

Regardless, he is quite an amazing singer (well, my opinion, actually )

Just because he was in a homosexual scandal does not mean he was REALLY a part of it at all. It could have been just made up by some callous troublemaker.

I'm sure Clay's version will sound decent. He did a good job on "Don't Save It All For Christmas Day." I'll wait to hear reviews from others before I buy the album.

and OHHHH MY GOSH! Look at the tracks for his upcoming album “A Thousand Different Ways,”

As you can tell, two of his new songs are written by people who are close to Celine! I can't wait to hear "A Thousand Days!" Aldo Nova is amazing! And all of those other songs; I haven't heard even one beat from this album and it has already won my heart. LOL

Oh! Scandals with him??? Here in Brazil we don't have any news of him, so I didn't know nothing about that. Could someone tell me more? I like him so much. He's such a great singer... I've loved his audition on AI too, when he sung "Always and Forever"...

WOW!! I LOVE CLAY!!!! When he was on American Idol 5 singing with oen of his fans... I forgot how much I loved his music. I can't wait for this CD!! He did an AMAZING job on DSIAFCD 2 years ago.

Hmm, I'm really interested to see how this turns out! It will be some more good promotion for Celine, so YAY for that. With so many good songs he's covering, I think It will either be really good or really bad, well see...

Oooo. Clay is pretty good. But no matter who covers Celine's "classics" (oh that gives me the the chills! AWESOME!!) Celine will always own the original version and will always sound the best coming from her :wub:

Hey well I'm STRAIGHT and I like Celine. There are straight guys out there that like her, maybe I'm outnumbered but now I'm not as quick to say that I like her because I figure people will automatically think I'm gay, NOTHING against those that are.

I don't mind when people cover Celine's songs and they sound good, however when they don't cover them well which is usually the case, then it sucks.

After I heard his promising version of "without you" I think his "BYLM" will have some interesting vocal additions to the beloved Celine song.
