Should Céline record What A Feeling?

You all know the story about this song and Céline, how she didn't understand a word of what she was singing and all that.

 

You all know she did a wonderful job vocally when performing it live.

 

Now this is a timeless track. And today this type of music is very popular. I am surprised no one has covered it and made it to a hit once more.

 

Imagine Céline recording this in the same style as I Drove All Night. It would be a super hit, especially on the dance floor.

NO, I absolutely don't want them to butcher this song like they did to "I drove all night". Besides, it brings back good memories of Celine's vocal supremacy... I don't want to hear it with her present voice...

I have had to opt for "I wouldn't care.", I don't disagree with Celine recording dance songs, I love her upbeat stuff. I don't disagree with her recording cover versions - there are a lot of great songs out there that Celine could add her magic to! And songs are meant to be sung over and over, not recorded once and forgotten! But I don't think this song needs to be covered, it is a karaoke classic and would be corny and dated IMO. If she's going to cover something it should be something a bit more "cool"

She needs all original songs. It would be a failure on the charts like IDAN..and she would be made fun of for it(like they do all the time on VH1 for IDAN). I want ORIGINAL SONGS again! She is outstanding at making her own timeless songs....

I agree, she needs brand new original songs. She has tooo many covers anuway. I don't say they are bed, but why making covers when she can sing and write her own material. If she'd civer What A Feeling, let it be only a filler at most, because if it would be a single, people will go like "Oh, no, not another IDAN!" I lied IDAN but I think that would be enough for such dance like songs.... She should do rock! Or a rock version of What A Feeling????

I agree absolutely!

Guys, don't ask Celine to cover songs like this, or "I Will Always Love You", or Mariah's songs. This shouldn't happen! Think about it! It would be better to have new versions of not so well known songs, if we have to talk about covers. Maybe a duet with Mariah or Witney (well, that...!) would be a better solution... than covering their songs!

All this, because i read all the time about the covers you ask for!
