Celine On The Radio...

Okay, I know that there's probably been a topic or two that's been started like this before, but I'm too tired to search for them, so please don't kill me Moderators! Anyway, I was going to one of my local radio stations' websites and low and behold guess who's playing right now? You guessed right! CELINE! Anyway, the station is KOIT and it's a San Francisco station. Here's what I saw when I went to their site that got me all excitied (or MCFing as some of you call it) - LOL!

Wooohoo!! My two favourite radio stations here in Toronto are 98.1 CHFI and 97.3 EZ Rock. They have Celine on both their hompages! WOOHOO! GO CELINE!!

I'm a huge fan of 106.7 Lite Fm. They even played "Dance With My Father" when it first came out.

 

There's a station on Long Island, Love 96.1 that plays Celine every day. The song list of the songs they play from her is quite extensive. They play everything from "Where Does My Heart Beat Now" to "I want You To Need Me" up to IDAN and HYEBIL. She is still pretty popular on some stations.

How tragic that must be

Yesterday, during commute, I listened to Delilah's radio show, and there was a lady that called in, telling Delilah about the miracle in her life. She told a story about her son, who at age 16, got into a big car accident with a truck/trailer. The son survived, however, the doctor told the family that he may never graduate from high school nor college. The son, however, experienced a miracle in his life because he was able to graduate, not once, but twice, with his Masters Degree, and now has found love and has gotten married. Anyway, Delilah chose to play "Miracle" and I had tears in my eyes!

What's really strange is that the radio stations in the Bay Area have a tendency to play Celine's version of "(You Make Me Feel Like A) Natural Woman" quite a bit. I never realized that her cover of the song was that much of a hit.

 

On the other hand no stations around here play "Your And I," "In Some Small Way," "Beautiful Boy," or her version of "I Drove All Night." It just seems like to them Celine only existed in the music scene from when "Beauty And The Beast" was released up to "A New Day Has Come." Forget anything from the "Unison" album, and forget anything from "One Heart," "Miracle," or "A New Day...Live In Las Vegas." ::Sigh:: Oh well. LOL

I love it when I hear Celine on the radio!! The Mall where I work at sometimes plays Celine....and when it does it plays her french songs....hmmm......but anywho...on the radio B97.5 plays Celine alot here in southeastern KY.......

Nah, I doubt Celine would ever go that route unless she actually liked the song. But, I think the closest she'll ever and has ever get/gotten to hip/hop and r&b is with "Dance With My Father," "Treat Her Like A Lady," "Why Oh Why," "Forget Me Not," "Love Is All We Need" and "Rain, Tax." And even then I don't know how close you could put those as hip/hop or r&b.

 

Anyway, I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO jealous of you for hearing "Tous les secrets" on the radio! I wish they'd release "Let Your Heart Decide" in the states so she could have a new song out. ::sigh:: Hopefully someday soon.
