I just knew that she recorded the tracks for Falling Into You previous to 1996. I consider that time to be the peak of her "recording" voice. Beyond words.

 

She recorded the tracks for LTAL in 1997.

I think that in the years 94-96 her voice was perfect but in the years 1997-1998 her voice has more emotion. So i believe that 97-98 was her best vocally and her look.

i picked 1994-1996. I should have picked 1996-1998..... Her album "Falling Into You" is my favorite among her albums and her best-selling album.... though not all songs are great. But on this album did Celine proved herself that she's a remarkable singer. and the singles released were the right ones. she did it all by herself and sold more than 30,000,000 million copies.

 

the next album "let's talk about love" has sold more than 30,000,000 copies as well. and some say it was just because of the movie. well, it can be true. but there are also great movies that has great theme songs. But Celine Dion has always been a great singer. i even consider her as the "queen of soundtracks".

Yes, 94-96 were the years of the "coming of age" for Celine's voice. BUT, she really knew how to control and USE her voice during the 97-98 years

2001-2002 seems to be under-rated. This was a big comeback for her. I honestly thought that when she came back that she would not be as big or as popular, and that people would forget about her and not pay attention. I was wrong. ANDHC was number one for over 28 weeks, she was everywhere on television doing interviews, specials, etc. This may not have been her peek, but this period certainly ranks up there. IMO this album was one of her best ones. It is certainly my favorite of all albums that she's made. I'm surprised this time period didn't get more votes. She was hot during this time.

No one has disagreed with what you're saying. Her comeback was sensational..and I'm sure most of us agree on that fact. She worked very hard on ANDHC as well as all the planning behind her comeback. However, her voice changed during her break, and in what seems to be most of our opinions, she was not as strong vocally. Her voice is still extremely powerful, and frankly more emotional now than ever. However, this poll is based upon her vocal peak. Not popularity or comeback.

I would say 94-96 and again 98-99 when the 'decade' was released.....I loved the new songs of that album and think that her voice was so emotional and mature,so real and so flexible,so great and so fine and delicate..... but I still believe she has it.........and we will see it coming sometime soon.....

It really depends on what you mean by peak. Peak record sales, peak popularity, Peak live performance, peak recorded preformance. ???

 

I think she is now in her Peak for live performance.

 

She was riding a crest before her break (as far as popularity) but I think she still has it within her to make the charts again big time and become a household word again.

 

She has not peaked as far as her recorded performances go. To much more to come.

She really WAS hot at that time. Migod. I liked the ANDHC album as well. It's really hard to choose. Each era has its goods and its bads. But no matter which era. Just gotta love Celine.
