Celinesongs Posted July 19, 2006 at 03:09 AM Posted July 19, 2006 at 03:09 AM I find that I am often reading in the discussion room that people don't care much for the duet Celine sang with Pavoratti. When I first heard this song, I wasn't exactly crazy about it, but then I actually LISTENED to it. This man, with his beautiful opera voice, is very powerful and not many can sing next to him equally. But Celine does it with her beautiful, powerful tone and matches him perfectly. I can't seem to put into words exactly what I think when I hear this song, but I do know that she is able to sing and match his tone (I'm not sure if that's the right word, like I said, it's hard to explain ). I just want those of you who don't like this song to listen to it again, maybe with headphones, and just listen to how easily she is able to sing with him. I don't think Mariah, Whitney, or any of the other divas (except maybe Barbra) could do this. ANewDay... Posted July 19, 2006 at 03:14 AM Posted July 19, 2006 at 03:14 AM i agree with you here... at first, and for years, i tended not to like this song (personally, most of CELINE's duets, i could do without; i prefer to have her all to myself, i guess)... however, i do agree that their voices blend magically (only not quite as well as with ANDREA), but it still works so well! and i must confess, i actually rather like (perhaps LOVE) the song (only it does make me laugh; yes, i do find it that cheesy, but i am guilty of loving my fromage)... - ANewDay... I really, really love this song b/c there's just somehting about it thats hard to describe that just touches me. celines_girl Posted July 21, 2006 at 08:15 PM Posted July 21, 2006 at 08:15 PM I also never really liked the song, but have grown to accept it. I really like the words to the song and think that it could have been alot better. I like Celine and Pavoratti working together i just don't think this was the right song for them to sing. But, it's still growing on me after watching their performance from Pavarotti & Friends concert. Quote Please support the forum by ordering through our Amazon.com referral link below. George Woodson Posted July 22, 2006 at 08:49 PM Posted July 22, 2006 at 08:49 PM I initially disliked this song, but over time it has grown on me, and while not one of my favorites I admire the different style of it from the mainstay of Celine's English repotoire. Quote

RLAAMJR. Posted July 27, 2006 at 05:26 PM Posted July 27, 2006 at 05:26 PM The first time i heard it, i was deeply amazed by it.... two beautiful voices collaborated for a beautiful song. Celine Dion didn't let me down.... so is Luciano. Quote
celinedrop Posted July 28, 2006 at 04:16 AM Posted July 28, 2006 at 04:16 AM It was never my favorite, but once in a while I'm in the mood for it...I like the lyrics and Celine's voice is great, delicate but powerful...However, Pavarotti doesn't pronounce the words so well and that can be a little annoying after listening him for a while... But it pays off because of Celine! Quote **How did you know that I would play the part?I must have I made it clear right from the start**
