Possible New Music Format for Celine!

Hi Everyone, I just thought I'd add this and get your reactions to it, we're always looking for new things on Celine's CD's and some of us would love to hear more acappella and instrumental versions so this is thee way forward!

 

Its a new music format included on Music CD's called "U-MYX" and is used by the customer on their PC or MAC (its basically a program), from which the customer can load the Master Tracks from the song and mess about with them...

 

For example, if you wanna hear a Karaoke version take out Celine's vocals, if you wanna hear an Instrumental version, take out both Celine and the Backing vocals... or if you wanna hear an Acappella version take out everything but the vocals... it also lets you mess about with the musical arrangement. For example, if it was released for "My Heart Will Go On" you'd be able to turn off the Whistle, the Piano, Synths, Strings, Drums etc....

 

You can express your comments and suggestions about it on this Thread and we'll see what happens from there on in!... I'll be taking note of all your comments and passing them onto the relevant people so please keep this thread serious!

 

And this is a real product which is already been signed up by many UK artists and is already released on CD's here, so its a reality that this could happen!

I don't think this will happen in Celine's case.. The record company is protective of these kinds of stuff.. (her voice) etc..

Thats true, but as I mentioned its already happening with many artists.... and its not like they need to protect her voice from being heard on its own, she can sing!!

I like the idea, it'd be heaven for acapella/instrumental/karaoke freaks but then I'm not sure if Sony would adopt this format yet, it's still very early.

Well you change the musical arrangements, so technically, it is also about remixes, coz you can create your own..

 

And yes of course you can, that wasn't directed to anyone personal..

I really really like the idea!!! When I'm bored and want a project to fiddle with this would be wonderful! I think it's a reallly neat idea! I hope they do put it on Celine CD's...but as some others expressed, I wont hold my breath.

As for me, I am a huge fan of the a cappellas, so I think that I would really enjoy this program a lot!

Yes you can still listen to the CD Normally but the U-MYX part only works when loaded onto a computer... however within the program there is a SAVE function that allows the user to export their Remixes so they can listen to them in the car, ipod etc!

 

And thats correct it allows you to make your own mix of the song... e.g. maybe a song like NAKED, you could take out everything but the Guitars and Vocals and have your very own Acoustic version.. thats what this allows you to do...

 

So, to everyone who doesn't like it basically what your saying you don't like are;

 

Instrumentals

Karaokes

Acappellas

Remixes

Acoustic Versions

 

and much more!... but yeah you can have your own opinion and it is respected, just want to make sure you know and understand what you're disagreeing to here.
