Celine's Wife Posted January 25, 2005 at 05:05 AM Posted January 25, 2005 at 05:05 AM (edited) Alriiiiight, so for dance class by Thursday I have to have a character from a play and relate them to a song that I can improv dancing too.... anyways, I cleared the general idea with the teacher and I want to pick "Katharine Hepburn" from the play "Tea At Five" and I want to use a Celine song to go with it...... now, the teacher said that my idea is good because I have two opposite things to blend, Celine's music is ballady and smooth was Hepburn was a rough and stern my-way-or-the-highway lady... so what I want to know is what songs people would think might work for me? But I went up anyways and for some reason the teacher couldn't get my burned CD to play.... SO I made the decision to go back to my apartment and grab my SSD CD, and came bakc and did it to "Papillon" I was so into the moment I was playing that I almost started crying when I got done!!! The teacher commented on how the song I picked was very beautiful, and she could see how it helped my emotional state of being during my performance.... I'll explain you what it consists in, tell me what ya think well we are 6 to dance and we want to make a choregraphy on the theme "sickness". It'll be both sad/funny. Among the 6, one (me ) plays the virus who infects all the others one by one. It may sound a bit silly, but it can be really good if we work seriously on it. We want to add a funny part, like, someone arrives with a kleenex and starts blowing her noise anyway.... we're looking for songs, or actuallty melodies to dance on... but we don't really know where to look for them But we already know we'll put the song "je suis malade" from Serge Lama (wonderful song!), and hopefully my friend will sing it it'll look greaaaaat I hope !!!!
