Tonight, I was chatting with a nice person from the forum here. I won't say who But as I was chatting with this fellow CCh member, I got inspired about my own life and LOVE!!! HA HA And I was getting ready to go to bed, and then I thought... hmmm I feel like for the past many weeks, I've have been thinking about "somebody" and I want to FINALLY put my feelings into words. So... I ended up burning a little midnight oil writing this poem

 

So...... This is a continuous poem, so there are not really any breaks. You pause lightly at the end of his line and it should flow

 

I hope that you will feel more connected to my heart when you read this SUPER-DUPER long poem he he

 

 

 

SONGBIRD

At times

I sit

Still as a caged bird

Wanting to sing

Sing a song

About the times

That I wonder

As I wander

Through my memories

Of the times

That I feel

I feel

The stillness of time

When I want to move

Move away from the secrets

Secrets

Those secrets that keep

My eyes alive

Burning the midnight oil

As I lie awake

Awake in a dream

A dream that I know

Knowing that

There may never be a moment

A moment in time

When you will know

Know how I feel

Know how I want

Know how I want you

You to know how I long

For the time

That we can be

Soaring in the heavens

Through the clouds of freedom

Uninhibited freedom

Free from time

Free from judgement

Free from secrets

Free in knowing

Knowing how much

I long for this moment

Where right or wrong

Is insignificant

Small

When compared

Side by side

With this joy

The joy that is

It is our treasure

A treasure that we hold

We hold in our hands

Wrapped with honesty

Sealed with a kiss

Embraced

Like the rings

Rings of Saturn

Where I feel surrounded

By your strength

By your courage

By your passion

By your ability

To mesmerize me

I

I am caught up

Captivated

By the magic

The magic that causes me

Me

To feel like the Big Dipper

Showered me

With dews of happiness

Under this moon

Full moon

Glowing with glory

Glory incomparable

To the glory of the glow

The glow that is within

Your heart

Shining through your pupils

Through windows

Of beautiful eyes

Closing and opening

Opening and closing

Closing and opening

As I lay there staring

Staring into those windows

Wondering

As I am wandering

Into those eyes

Questioning

Wanting reasons

Reasons that I will never truly

Truly will I ever understand

To understand why

I feel what I feel

I do what I do

I say what I say

And

Suddenly

You stop me

And I stop

Time stops

Everything stops

For in this moment

This moment in time

You take my hands

Wrapped it honestly

Grasping

And I lay still

Still as a sleeping bird

As you approach

Slowly

And time

Time speeds up

Slowly

And you seal me

Seal me gently

Gently with a kiss

And I feel

I feel your embrace

Like the river

Meets the sea

Like there is destiny

A fulfilment of destiny

Like I have always wondered

As I wandered

Rolling through mountains

Down through valleys

Passed through life

Life of many forms

Giving so much

So much of me

Away

Away to something

Something that I will never

Never gain

In return

The same

As you

You have given me

Even if I were

If I were to give you nothing

Nothing more

More than words

But

I have

I have given you

The beats

Beats of my heart

The heart

The heart that still gives me

Gives me life

And now I feel

I feel captured

Captured by you

Captured yet free

Free in knowing

That my secrets

Secrets are no longer

No longer causing me

To hide

To hide from you

For you

You are the one

The one that causes

Me

The one that causes

My heart

My soul

My mind

To fly

Fly higher

Higher than the eagles

Soaring

Beyond time and space

Flowing

Like a river of life

Into this ocean of love

And now I sing

I sing that song

That I longed for

For all the moments

Moments that have passed

All that I know

Knowing that I feel

Feel in this moment

This moment in time

Is that I truly

at this moment

how quickly times passes

and yet how slowly

the hours and minutes seem

with so much distance

in between

how much you want

and need that embrace

that touch

to see that love

for whom the flame

in your heart burns
