A New Day june 23 2006

We got to Celineland on june 22 very late after our flight was delayed about 4 hours, we missed the show 'o' thanks to that(no worries i got my money back) so

On June 23rd at 8:pm waiting in line at the coliseum to get in I could see all the people very well dressed and people around us talking about how exited they were to see the show, as soon as we walked in we headed to the bar to grab a margarita and right behind that bar is the statue , that thing its so real her eyes are perfect kinda weird , so of course I took a picture or 2 actually 3 and it ended up to be $100.00 for all 3 ,they give you a choice $40.00 for one in a very nice cover or all 3 for $100.00 the money goes to the Celine Dion foundation .Well finally we got our seats , they were on teamceline area on orch3 great seats specially since most of us in the area were team celine members ,2 cute girls from L.A were seating next to us big Celine fans ,and it was the first time for them at the show and after they knew it was my 4th time there they asked a lot of questions and I shared a lot of stuff about the show ,we laugh a lot .Well, the lights go out and the show starts you can see Celine doing the walk down the stairs and her crispy voice fills the room , I love how on A new day has come she sounds so pure and clear even when breathing, also when she starts the song she is right at the end of the stage under the screen but she makes her way slowly to the middle and almost at the end of the song

(she always do this) she runs to the front and finishes the song , I really like the beginning of the show , right after The Power of Love its on and the stage gets filled with dancers and colors all over, its awesome how the stage changes in seconds one song after the other , you can tell TPOL is an audience favorite some people stood up on the very front rows making everyone do the same on the orch levels , IACBTMN goes by quick ,'Seduces me' was this time more sensual then in the past to me and At Last and Fever are no longer performed I miss fever it was a fun song) ALL THE WAY was nice I thought it was going to be boring but it was a well received song in the audience.

I Surrender one of my favorites of the show was awesome as always, at the end she did some changes, after holding that very last note for a trillion seconds she paused for a few more and then let loose to her high pitch scream/noise telling all of us that she sings live in the show and not all songs are playback I noticed new things on IF I COULD and I WISH(the way she sings them) one of the things I noticed is that when LCMM was about to start 2 camera man ran to the front and started filming she seemed really be showing off and having fun on this song people stood up from LCMMA all the way to IDAN. One more detail , on the right side of orch level I saw this girl doing sign language for the hearing impaired seating in front of her, she had a big computer screen and a few people were watching Celine sing and looking at the girl almost instantly , I felt fortunate to be able to hear everything and soo lucky we are to be able to hear Celine's voice.

At some point of the show when she was about to say something I yelled at her that it was my birthday and she said 'Well Happy Birthday' with a sweet tone of voice , my hearth was going so fast I was shaking and I stood up and waved at her she waved back IT WAS AWESOME, then when she was singing IDAN all of our row was waving at her so she did it again , the girls next to me and my partner turned to me and said: she soooo was looking at us, it was fun.

On MHWGO the big moon is like on your face but super nice and then you see Celine walking soo damn sexy from the left side of stage , she walks like a supermodel im sorry to say this but her butt was HOT she looks really nice in that dress her body its soo toned , you can tell she works out ,her arms are in great shape , at one point of I'm Alive she kicks her leg so high(almost shoulder level) and her leg shows a lot and I was able to confirmed what great set of legs this lady has .

The show goes by soo fast its not funny, at the end of the show after WAWW she is waiting for everyone to shut up and let her speak and at that moment when it was silent i yelled CAN YOU PLEASE DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN (I always say that to her) and she said ' oh I wish I could ' after she gave the rose to someone at front we had to run out of there and go the Wynn to see Le Reve , I gotta say this, if you are going to las Vegas and want to see a few shows make sure you see Celine show last cause after seen Celine everything else its not comparable. thanks for reading I hope you liked it .

I am so glad someone else said it, I Surrende is the one song that I KNOW is playback...if you knowtice how far back from the stage she is, and also after she holds the extremely long note, the voice that she yells in is a TOTALLY different voice. But other than that...I'm glad you had a good time!!!

The show is the most popular in Las Vegas, this is BIG! this show, this singer are amazing,this show makes people go there more then one time and spend thousands to see her one time after the other,it doesnt matter if she is singing or not (playback) and this show is about Celine's music and her incredible talent .

At one point she had to record this songs to be played again and again so it is her voice no matter when it was recorded , lets not make this a big deal , i had a great time at the show , SO to any of the members of this forum that talk about playback and lip synch when you are on the show in front of her it doesnt matter what she does , thats the last thing you think about while you are there , the day you go you'll know what i am talking about until then lets not worry about this.

It's DREADFUL there. Absolutely dreadful. There is not ONE thread there where there is not said how crap Céline's voice nowadays is, how screwed up she is and how she sings the same songs all over again. Rarely do I see ppl who give Céline props for doing her thing all the way! Even Whitney fans at CW do give her props for her hard work and her successful show in Vegas. I mean I may not like it but hell you have to give this superwoman some respect and love!

Its sad to say, but I really don't remember much about the show because I was so focused on Celine the whole time. It was an experience of a lifetime. So much so that i am going back in November to do it all again!

I remember standing up during parts of the show too, screaming I LOVE YOU, CELINE's like crazy, and saying things just to make her laugh (Thank God I was near the front).

the same thing happened to me the first time I went. I think it was just so surreal and I couldnt believe I was actually there. I had been waiting 6 years to see Celine, so when it finally happened it was like a dream and very fuzzy to remember. So I went back a few months later and cried through almost the whole thing. I felt her more this time around. Your going to love it even more the second time!

the cameramen are there to project the video onto the mega TV on stage...probably not for DVD

 

if it were for the DVD, there would be those moving cameras attached to the sides of the colosseum to get better views
