hey i was wondering if anyone had things that scared them ,

 

Mine is a bad one im scared of the sound people make when there being sick, its that bad, i wont go out on nights out that involve a bus, incase some one is drunk and sick, i watch most programmes like casualty, with the sound off and subtitles, and i even get people to watch the film at the cinema see if there is sick in it, report back so i can watch it,

 

Its hard now as i get scared when steven feels ill, i will have to deal with it i know, as ive tried hypnotists the works

 

So what about you lot?

I am scared of death and i can´t stop thinkin of death that scares me.

I watch sometimes movies were death is in the lead role and i think is he here now,, with me?(Final destination).

 

I am also scared of spiders ans bugs.

Yes it's pathetic for a 23 year old woman to be afraid of the dark but I can't help myself. I sleep with the lights on and I wake up the minute it's turned off. I sleep with a lantern under my bed just in case the lights go out. You could pay me a million dollars and spend a week with Celine to stand in a dark room for 1 minute and I wouldn't. I would probably pass out.

 

When I'm in the dark for some reason my head spins, I feel like sufocating, the anxiety is overwhelming and I just burst in tears.

 

It all started a long long time ago when during a earthquake at 4 am all the lights were out and I was locked in my bedroom. I was like 4 years old and I'll never forget it.

Hi Mozinha i am also afraid of the dark and i must have the lights turn on to if i don´t i think of someone is here with me,,, scary like hell.

I'm not afraid of having somebody there with me. I know there is nothing there to be afraid, it's just the darkness that overwhelms me.

I have some form of Nyctophobia too.

One time, during a camping trip, I was in a cabin with some of buddies.

 

I fell asleep, and when I woke up in the middle of the night, it was pitch dark inside the cabin. I didn't know what to do, because for a few seconds, I thought I was blind...

 

So, my initial reaction was....I screamed everybody's names!

 

The light was turned on, and I was back to health

I think my son has too, we have to sleep with the lights on, his main one is all doors HAVE to be shut, he is obsessed

I'm afraid of the dark sometimes. I HATE scary movies (unless they're funny). If I watch even a wee bit of it, I won't be able to sleep all night. Actually, come to think of it, I hate all horror things, like scary stories, scary movies, scary pictures, ect...

Mt son trapped his finger in the door today, with his obseesion with the doors having to be closed , he gets really scared

 

 

Has anyone got any advice on helping him, he is only 4 ?

I was aviophobic. I got on a plane and I was cured once the plane had landed. At first I panicked when the plane took off and had tears in my eyes and I consumed quite a lot of alcohol haha and I don't know, I'm not afraid of planes at all now, am actually looking forward to fly again.

 

The things that now scare me are cemeteries, especially at night. The closest one is less about 1 km from where I live and at times I have to pass it to get home and it sends me shivers down my spine and I really hate it.

 

And that's about it really. The rest of the things I just don't like... bugs and stuff for example, I'm not scared of them but they're just gross.

I hate airplanes too but it's no phobia though. I hardly travel and I never go very far because I don't want to spend many hours there.

 

My best friend lives in a nearby island and wants me to spend the summer with her so bad to go but I won't take the plane. I don't even go to mainland Portugal and it's just 2 hours away.

 

My only trip ever was to Vegas. Only Celine to make endure 23 hours in 4 different airplanes.

 

 

Right now my biggest fear is:HEART ATTACK DUE TO FOOTBALL NERVES.

I still have some minor aviophoia.

I hate the feeling of thinking about being in a 200,000 pound object that is hanging onto the mercy of the wind. I normally fear take-offs and landing, but once I'm in the air, the first think I think about is... WHERE'S THE FOOD!? I always look forward to airplane foods.

i used to get sick when i saw someone else sick but due time got used to it. Now not a single nerve in me moves when i see someone sick. When I see puke I feel disgusted, but not as much as to feel sick myself.

another one of mine now is heights i was all right with it when i was younger i was in junior air cadets flew glyders plains ect now im getting on a bit its all changed, i recently went up blackpool tower a very tall landmark here in england and passed out with terror

i hate wasps i was stung on the head by one when i was in spain when i was nine ive got a phobia about them and going to the dentist the denist makes me have panic attacks

You`re definitely not the only one. It freaks me out too. I think its because when I was little my mom used to get sick a lot and the sound was loud and I thought she was dying or something. Now I can`t even bare to be around it. My gf got too drunk once when we were in a cab and we had to keep pulling over I was so freaked out I wanted to run. I feel so bad that I felt that way because its the person I`m in love with and I wanted to run from her But I didn`t, instead of going home I took us to a hotel until the next morning.

hmm.. I don't like to be inside dark houses... being outside at night is fine, but when I'm in dark houses/rooms and knowing that I'm not alone, that creeps me out... ugh..

 

I can't think of anything else... oh yeah, dog phobia.. but that's getting better! (*am proud* )

me too i'm afraid of heights but just sometimes, because when i'm on a plane i like to watch through the window

i was afraid of blood but then i had to get used to it because i have to work with blood everyday in the laboratory!!

I'm afraid of spiders... I hate them! Even the VERY small ones.

I also dislike sleeping in rooms that are too dark. It's weird, but when I'm in a room which has no light AT ALL and I open my eyes, I feel like I'm eye-crossed So I need a bit of light to make me feel better.
