Celine Dion 2002-2005. My thoughts.

Hello guys i just want to share my thoughts about Celine´s latest album´s in this millenium. Tell me what you think about these albums and please be honest about it no silly answers okey,, Love ya .

 

1. 2002 march 24th. A New Day Has Come. Celine´s first studio album in four years since 1998 These Are Special Times. This album presents her new babyboy and her new life as a mother&artist. The songs are amazing and i love her voice so pure and real not overproduced like her preview albums and you can hear her breathing in some of them so she is human after all. My favorit songs are A New Day has Come the ballad version&Radio edit, Prayer,I Surrender, At Last, I´m Alive, The Greatest Reward, Right In Front Of You, Aun Existe Amor,Sorry For Love and When The wrong One Loves You Right,Nature boy. They are all so well done and Celine sounds terrific the latter tracks of this album that i don´t like are, Superlove, Rain Tax, Ten Days and Have You Ever Been In Love.

 

2. 2003 march 24th. One Heart. Celine released this album a year after ANDHC up to the day 2 and to be honest i was very dissapointed the songs are totally boring most of them are on this album and i was hoping somethin like ANDHC but One Heart is nothing like it. I like one song and it is the first single I Drove All Night.

 

2003. october 14th. 1 fille&4Types was Celine´s first french album in 6 years and this album is far better than One Heart and my favorit tracks are:Tout l´or des hommes, Apprends-moi,Ne Bouge Pas, Retiens-Moi, Je Lui Dirai, and contre nature. Amazing album Celine´s voice is terific in this album.

 

2004. october 13th Miracle. Celine teamed up with her friend and longtime collaborator David Foster and Anne Geddes for this album David produces all the songs and this album is a wonderful baby album for all the mothers in the world very sweet and elegant and Celine sings on her lower register and it´s beautiful.

 

2004 new songs from Celine´s life album A New day? You And I is amazing song i love it Ain´t Gonna Look The Other Way another great pop song i wish it was a single.

 

2005.October-November? One Ne Change Pas a 3 cd collection of all Celine´s greatest french songs + a dvd.(3) 2 cd.) The album includes also new songs like Tout Le´s secret-Let Your Heart decide, I Believe In You duet with IL Divo and Je Ne Vous oubile Pas the first single from this spectular album and Ma Nouvelle France. Amazing album and i hope she will record somethin new in english soon.

One heart... Not exactly Celine greatest album but i really like stand by your side, naked, reveal...

 

Miracle... nice Celine did a wonderfull job but hey it's not something to listen to everyday...

 

a new day... Wish indeed that ain't gonna look the other way would be a single wath a greaaaat song!!!!

As a new day has come i think it's her greatest album ever...

A New Day Has Come...great album, despite the few on it I can't stand, like Rain/Tax, GTSW (too maudlin), Sorry For Love, Super Love, WTWOLYR...and I'm not a fan of AEA. But from that album came my favourite song ever...TGW (extended version, however.) Vocally, she had great moments and not so stellar moments, but I enjoyed the new sounds she flirted with. Overall, it's a good album.

 

One Heart...there isn't really a song I hate on this album, though I don't listen to it all the time. But there are many good songs on this album, and again, I liked the fact that she embraced a new sound for herself and explored a fresh, happy side. Vocally, there are a few things I don't like, but mainly I enjoy this album. It didn't disappoint me in the least.

 

1f4t...good album. She was becoming a little more throaty in this album, but not enough to be annoying. I do like the arrangements and the general sound of the album, and just the fact that it has a grittier sound than her English albums. It was a great breath of fresh air.

 

LILV...don't get me started. Cruddy from beginning to end with the exception of AGLTOW. Y&I is a dismally written song and, though she has a good voice on it...it's just a bad song...even her voice couldn't save the lyrics of this piece of ludicrous writing. The rest was nasal and I never listen to those songs...I refused to buy the album. We've had bootlegs better than this album, and I dont see why they didn't release "Opening Night" when her voice was clear and stronger.

 

Miracle...had the potential to be great, but her voice wasn't there. She was weak, thready, thin, throaty, nasal in places, and I know this album could have been so much better. It still surprises me that David Foster, being the perfectionist that he is, didn't do more to get better results out of Celine. This album sounds like a live album...not a great studio work. Rushed, and rather lazy.

 

ONCP...since I already have the French albums I want, and I don't care for her work from childhood and adolescence, this album went right over my head and I care nothing for it. The new songs aren't the greatest quality and I don't care for them much either. So I didn't give any attention to this album.

A New Day Has Come is an excellent album in my opinion. She sounds amazing and the album is so rich musically. It's already one of my alltime favourites.

1 Fille & 4 Types is really untypical for her French albums, they used to be so intimate and poetic. I like this one for the stripped down and acoustic sound it has, but I have to say lyric-wise it isn't even near "D'eux" or "S'il suffisait d'aimer."

I don't care about the other ones, they are simply forgettable.

- A NEW DAY HAS COME -

= LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!!!!!

I absolutely fell in love with this album from the first second I popped it into my CD player. This was the one album that I could play nonstop, and hit repeat, and it remains fresh. It was absolutely eclectic, heartfelt, emotional, and driven. I think I could spend all day talking about the songs on this album. I do enjoy the cheezy songs, especially "Have You Ever Been in Love" and "Sorry for Love." "The Greatest Reward" brings many tears to my eyes. "I Surrender" is absolutely one of her greatest ballads - AMAZING SONG! The only songs that I'm a bit partial to are "GTSW" and "Rain, Tax" I can't put enough words to express how much I love this album. It's certainly one of my personal favorites!

 

- ONE HEART -

Without shame, I LOVE THIS ALBUM!

There was something about this album, which in an analogy, many fans would compare it to a "low budget album," "poorly produced." But, IMO, I just thought there was something cool surrounding this album. "Naked" is a VERY SEXY song, and it's totally uninhibited! "One Heart" was awesome. "Je t'aime encore" and "Stand by Your Side" brings me tears. I played this album at my school, and the students could not believe that this was Celine - they actually felt it was quite enjoyable! I thought it was a enjoyable too

 

- Live in Las Vegas -

Seriously, when I listen to this album, I actually do feel like I'm there, in the red seats once again. However, I still think she sounds weird in "Because You Loved Me." But this album spawned one of my most favorite songs - "YOU AND I." Although it was a song written by a non-songwriter and a promotional move by Air Canada, it's a touching and cute song.

Ummmmmmm, this album didn't hit my heart strings, unfortunately.

Only one song that I considered enjoyable was "Mon homme."

 

- Miracle -

Well, it's a baby album, so of course Celine was not supposed to be all out with her voice.

"In Some Small Ways" is magical poetically and simply beautiful.

 

- On Ne Change Pas -

A great collection of her French masterpieces.

"Je Ne Vous oubile Pas" was simply beautiful also.

I absolutely hated "I Believe in You" because of Il Divo's presence in the song and its over-the-top cheeziness.

The only thing I don't like that Celine has put out since 2002 was One Heart. I only like a little less than half the songs on the CD which is odd, because I usually like almost all of them. It's OK, just not up to par with the rest of her releases. As for the rest, I espcially love ANDHC and 1f&4t!!!

A New Day Has Come was my foirst album and i think it's the best of all albums.... i can listen to it all the time.... My favourite songs are 2 versions of ANDHC... but on the second plays are all of rest.. i don't understand why don't you like rain tax.... ANDHC album and song is my favourite for forever

 

One Heart ok but nothing maginificent.... I llove Coulda Woulda Shoulda and the most i like I Drove All Night, Faith and I Know What Love Is

 

Une fill quatres types started the time that Celine was going worse with her voice not so good as before. I like Tout l'or des hommes , contre nature and especially my favourite from this cd Je Lui Dirari

 

Miracle ok but too quiet and calm.... i know that they are lullabies but there could be sth more lively....

 

Live album.... it's so stupid.... why there are only 13 songs?? what about other? They should have released all songs from the show..... but i LOVE LOVE LOVE You And I it's amazing....

 

ONCP great because of so many songs like old songs (Une Colombe, Ma Chambre), Ma Nouvelle France, Sous Le Vent... or my favourite 2 new tracks JNVOP and TLS!!!! but it has got too many versions!!!

 

now we need sth really new!
