I'm glad it's almost over.

I don't want to sound ungratefull. I loved this Vegas deal. If it wasn't for this Vegas show I wouldn't have seen her and I wouldn't have spent those wonderful days in Vegas. But I guess it was too much for her, too much sacrifice for her health.

Awwwe, the closing of AND will be so sad! AND is like Celine's BIG THING. It'll be so different without Celine performing at the colesseum and then seeing some other person perform there. The theater wasn't made for them, it was made for Celine. It's just weird, you know? Tear, big tear...

I agree with you. AND has been so amazing and just knowing that it is there is comforting. But knowing that there is an offical end does make me sad too...I AM DEFINITELY going to be there for it! A lot of tears will be shed then, but of course it's not the end of Celine, just this one chapter of her life!

That date is pretty much obvious...there is a 5 involved with it...Celine started with a 5 (March 25, 2003) and she will be ending on a 5...it makes perfect sense for her!

I won't consider Marisa or other sources as a more reliable source than Rene himself. Of course they can always choose another date. But it's even too early to confirm they'd change it.

I really don't think René will change the date now after Caesers asked him when they were planning on ending the show. I think it's been on way too long. Céline must be pooped after the last show of the week is over.

He is right. I did not say that there would be a differet date, I just said I wanted to confirm in case there is something different going on. We will see. It might be the very last date and then great, good to know a last show date. But there are other things that my team and I need to be looking at for the convention so we want to make absolutely sure about it before we go jumping into the water.

 

I'm just bein' cautious. ;-)

I personally don't want the show to be over. It'll be so sad seeing her perform her last show there before she takes off again . I haven't even gotten to go see the show yet. I wish I could, but I just can't afford to go. But we all know she's gotta stop sometime, and this is her stop in Vegas. **Siiighh**

Knowing the date is bittersweet. I don't think they are going to extend the contract this time and December 07 seems like a good time to end the run in LV. I think it will be good for her to take a break and kind of "reinvent" herself for some future endeavors. I've been lucky enough to see the show a few times, and I hope to see it again before it ends, but it will be nice when she starts to sing new songs or just different ones when she tours later on. As much as she says she like performing in the LV setting you have to think that she must get tired of doing the same performance for the past four years. It's obviously worked for her since she wanted to be in one place for awhile to raise her family.

 

I'm just wondering what Caesar's is going to do with the Colosseum afer Celine's run. I know Cher is supposed to be the next big act there but it sounds like she will have her own venue built, although I'm not sure if that's true. It would not surprise me at all if they actually tore the theatre down and started from scratch again for the next performer. It's sounds crazy, but in Las Vegas things like that are normal. It's a really nice theatre and I hope they keep it.
