Anyone is a skateboarder?

I'm interested in skateboarding right now. But I have a little problem choosing the skateboard. I don't know how is it suppose to be. Does it have to be heavy or ligt? Or made of what? If anyone knows anything about skateboard, moves, technique, tricks and others, please tell me! Thank you so much!!!

it depends where you want to use your board... street, ramp, pipes, etc... When you use it in a skatepark, you need a wider board... if you want to do flip tricks, you need a smaller board. When it comes to choosing wheels, it depends on what kind of skateboarding you'll be doing...
