Meditation's not a bad idea

Turns out the school camping wasn't bad. I went to stay at the temple for 3 days and 2 nights. Most of the activities we did was meditation. Walking and sitting. There's a branch of the temple in Vancouver, too. The monks told us that foreigners are very interested in meditation.Maybe this would be useful.

Meditation helps calm your mind. Believe me, if you are studying, your grades will improve. And you also can control your emotion, you will be more patience.

Walking - You can do it at home.

1. Find an area to walk,3 metres is enough.

2. Put your right hand on the left wrist, then place both hands on your stomache. 3. Concentrate your mind at your forehead (Sounds confuse, eh?)Look ahead of you about 1.5-2 metres.

4. Start saying a word in your mind, up to you. But we usally say "Buddha". Say it repeatly to control your mind to think about only the meditating. Then start walking with your right foot, follow by the left. Not too fast and not too slow. Walk as usually like you always walk.

5. When you reach the end of the way, turn back clockwise slowly. Then start walking back again. You can do this about at least 5 minutes or more everyday.

If you still think about something while meditating, your mind is not strong enough. Remember, you MUST concentrating only on your presence. Practice often, and you'll improve.

Next up...Sitting pose :flowers:

Thank you. My mother is dying to learn how to meditate and my brother is into it as well. It's nice to see.
