Vote Céline for Listeners' Choice Award

As previously posted in the French Section, Céline has been nominated in the category Listeners' Choice Award for the Canadian Radio Music Awards 2005. The cerimony will take place in Toronto on March, 5th, during the Week Of The Canadian Music. I think Céline won't be there 'cause she has to perform in Vegas that day.

 

TORONTO (PC) - On connaît les mises en candidature en vue des Prix de la musique de la radio canadienne 2005. Ainsi, Finger Eleven, The Trews, George Canyon, Gary Beals et Kalan Porter sont en tête de liste parmi les artistes en lice.

 

La remise des prix aura lieu le 5 mars 2005, à Toronto dans le cadre des célébrations de la Semaine de la musique canadienne.

 

On remettra de nouveau cette année le Prix du choix des auditeurs. Céline Dion se retrouve parmi les finalistes de cette catégorie.

 

Des artistes figurant au palmarès canadien de la musique pour la première fois et ceux qui ont occupé le plus de temps d'antenne dans diverses formules radio d'après les données recueillies par Nielson Broadcast Data Systems en 2004, sont parmi les candidats en lice. Les gagnants sont choisis par scrutin par des directeurs musicaux, des directeurs de la programmation et des personnalités des ondes.

 

Trois prix qui ne sont pas déterminés par scrutin seront également décernés pendant la cérémonie de remise des prix, à savoir le " Breakthrough Award " pour l'artiste de la relève qui s'est mérité le plus de temps d'antenne, le Prix de l'auteur-compositeur pour l'auteur-compositeur dont l'èuvre a occupé le plus de temps d'antenne, et le Prix de l'artiste le plus illustre qui sera remis à l'artiste le plus entendu sur les ondes.
