Fanny! Posted November 19, 2004 at 11:52 AM Author Posted November 19, 2004 at 11:52 AM Here's the english translation of Emeline's trip to Vegas... Now I got some rest, I'm finally ready to tell you about my trip to Vegas ! So I left for Paris wednesday 10, I was so excited !I arrived to the airport at 10am, I registered my luggage, and then I had to fill out some papers. There, I meta man from Jetset (who was from Normandie, like me) and he gave me a Céline panel which wasn't supposed to befree... it was starting very well already !!!Two hours later the plane took off (it was my first flight), great !As you can guess, the flight was quite long even if I listened to Céline all the time !I arrived in Las Vegas very late (I couldn't go see the show that night, I was so disappointed)and then a bus brought us to the Luxor Hotel (great hotel by the way) !!!!The day after we woke up at 8 because of the jet lag, we had a good breakfast and we went shopping in the celine'sstore... all day long !!!!! It was aweeeeeeeesome, big screens with Celine's clips, a dream for all the fans !!!Then, I tried to find Celine's garage behind Ceasar's palace... and I found it !!!! End coming soon.... LVPantsGirl Posted November 20, 2004 at 08:03 PM Posted November 20, 2004 at 08:03 PM "God, how do you manage?" Well I'm a little silly in what I do to get to Las Vegas. Sometimes it's quite ridiculous. My mom and I are almost always short on money and the first time that we were going to Las Vegas it was supposed to be just to meet a few Céline friends of mine. But my mom borrowed some money from a family friend and paid for my ticket. We stayed in a cheap on-the-strip hotel and because my mom and I were so short on money we actually packed a cooler with some drinks for the drive there.... and also for when we were there. Some bagels and cream cheese and some oatmeal for breakfasts and for lunches we had tuna fish. At night we allowed ourselves to get fast food for dinner. While it sounds realyl dumb to go to Las Vegas like that it was how we could do it. Hehe. So we did and it was really a lot of fun! I was moved from 27th row to 3rd because of the pants that I was wearing and where my friend was sitting. Hehe. The second time I bought a ticket and made payments to my uncle every two weeks after he bought the ticket for me so I paid it all back just before I went to Las Vegas. My friend from Ireland and I sat together in the audience in third row (her mom took my row MM seat) and they were already getting two hotel rooms so they allowed me to stay free. I don't eat much when I'm in Vegas so I didnt need that much money to be there and I just flew home. Third visit was a very last minute trip in October. A friend helped me out with flight arrangements and hotel and the ticket I got was free-- it was to the French Special back in October of 2003. A very inexpensive trip. Fourth visit my friend bought our tickets together and I made payments to her so we could sit together. I flew out and was going to stay with one friend in her hotel room for a night and with my other friend for one as well but it didn't work out that way becuase of a misunderstanding so I stayed at Flamingo with my best friend and no one mad eme pay which was super nice. We did take a cab a couple of times if I recall and since it was New Years that time it was one of the more expensive trips. Fifth visit was a last minute trip that I never should have gone on. It wasn't meant to be but I forced it to happen. Problems galore but some parts were fun. I slept on the floor of an off-the-strip hotel with "the German Four." And brought my own water bottles from home and some oatmeal for breakfast. I had $80 total to spend there in Las Vegas.... $50 I spent on a regular Orchestra ticket so I unexpectedly got to see the show and that left $30. By the end of the trip I had gone into the negative balance of my bank account-- definately one of the less-smart trips I've had. Sixth visit was in July of this year. My mom, aunt, best friend and myself all split the gas money and the hotel money. We, again, brought food. We did the same thing where my friend bought the tickets to the show and I paid her back so we could sit together... It's all crazy stuff. I get there however I can. Quote

My aching backside we flew for 26 hours and it took us two flights to get there (from south africa to orlando and then from orlando to las vegas) we sat in the 2nd mezzanine seats 603 + 604 row A. I didn't really care where i sat cuz i was so glad to see Celine for the first time. Actually all my first experiences were from this trip, my first time flying, first time going out of the country, first time overseas, first time ever to a concert, first time seeing celine, first time being so far away from my mom... My sister and I plan to save up until i finish grade 12 so we can fly to las vegas and spend a week there and see the show in early 2007 or december 2006. So i have two years to save i sure hope i make the cash, but at the rate i'm being paid at my part time job now it's not even funny. R7 one hour (about $1) and i work most days only 4 hours.
