xo1hrt4celineox Posted May 22, 2006 at 06:01 PM Posted May 22, 2006 at 06:01 PM Ok, so I don't want to sound like an idiot but I keep reading this and can't quite be sure of what it is. Playback- is it the same as lip syncing? having her vocals accompany recorded ones? re-recording the song live and simply playing it over? If someone could please clear this up for me I'd really appreciate it! Thanks in advance!! CSCfan Posted May 22, 2006 at 06:04 PM Posted May 22, 2006 at 06:04 PM It's basically the same yeah.... Doesn't have to be lip-synching to pre-recorded tracks.. it could also be lip-synching to album tracks.. Annabelle Posted May 22, 2006 at 06:15 PM Posted May 22, 2006 at 06:15 PM as far as i know when a singer lip syncs, the music and the backing vocalists are usually live and just for example celine's voice is not live. but in playback, its a recording and played in the sstudio where the singer wil lip sync (in this case, orchestra or backing vocalists do not appear).
