Celinemaniac Posted May 22, 2006 at 05:47 PM Posted May 22, 2006 at 05:47 PM Some of you may already know, but look what I found as I was searching for the artist who sang Pascal Obispo's "Lucie" in english! It is Barratt Waugh, and, to my surprise, he's also done a version of the wonderful "I Love You Goodbye" that Celine recorded for her "Celine Dion" album, back in 1992. You can hear a sample in his site: http://www.propertyworld.com/agents/barrat...ages/music.html So who does he sound like? Many have tried to liken him to established artists such as Michael Jackson, Darren Hayes and the Bee Gees, but no one can quite agree. No wonder. His sound encompasses traces of each, and yet the overall vocal is all his own. It questions its very location and has a heartfelt delivery that makes even the most hardened soul take notice. ‘I Love You’ Goodbye’ was released in France, Japan, Korea and the USA in 2000 and stores sold out very quickly. SarahJB5 Posted May 22, 2006 at 06:34 PM Posted May 22, 2006 at 06:34 PM thanks for sharing with us, but he is truly awful! at first i thought to myself, is that a woman singing? his voice is not masculine sounding at all...i don't care if somebody covers a celine song, but at least try a make it sound a little bit good! ~sarah~ Quote I'm a twin mommy just like Celine!Sophia and Anthony arrived on December 28, 2010 http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f380/SarahJB5/asblockssmaller.jpg
MichiG. Posted May 22, 2006 at 06:41 PM Posted May 22, 2006 at 06:41 PM to be honest I DON'T like this version at all! Even the voice is sorry to say this - crap! And to mention the names of Michael Jackson, Darren Hayes and the Bee Gees in one phrase with him is unbelievable - he doesn't come close to those great voices! But I must admit he looks very cute and handsome Quote ~*~ life IS beautiful ~*~
Nando Férri Posted May 22, 2006 at 07:05 PM Posted May 22, 2006 at 07:05 PM OMG! I jut LOVE this song, but his voice! Oh yeah, that's very stranger... he almost sounds like a woman... but cool to know. Quote http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m4ejungtQy1r9swpco6_250.gif

catwomanrrr Posted May 23, 2006 at 07:03 AM Posted May 23, 2006 at 07:03 AM The only song that I was bearable to my ears was "Call The Rain." He sounds better when he sings lower notes. And "I Love You, Goodbye" should be renamed "I Don't Love You, Good Bye" LOL I mean, it wasn't bad but it wasn't good either. Quote http://i108.photobucket.com/albums/n28/rhymereason/dreambig.jpg
Celinemaniac Posted May 24, 2006 at 02:41 PM Author Posted May 24, 2006 at 02:41 PM - My opinion is the same as yours, guys: I don't like very much his version neither! - His voice is very high piched, but it's a type of man voice too... And I think, that's why they've compared him to Darren Hayes, to Michael Jackson and to the Bee Gees. - My friends Nelemy and Rene 2, I've seen him once in 'Vivement Dimanche' or 'Tapis Rouge', where he sang 'Lucie' in english and I paid attention because I like this song.
