The Millionth ticket sold for A New Day

Last summer, a special promotion was held to commemorate the sale of the one-millionth ticket to A New Day... Amanda from Minnesota was the lucky

person who purchased the one-millionth ticket and she and her guest enjoyed a "Live Like A Millionaire" luxury package. Here's her account of the fantastic trip including a meeting with Celine!

My incredible adventure began in August by purchasing tickets over the internet for a friend and myself to see Celine’s show, A New Day…  Later that evening, I received a call from a PR Manager who explained that I had just purchased the one millionth ticket to A New Day…  At the time I was not aware of the “Live Like A Millionaire for a Weekend” contest and all that it involved.  I went from total disbelief to such excitement and anticipation.  I was actually going to meet Celine Dion and enjoy a prize package beyond my wildest dreams!!

 

Representatives from Celine’s show and a camera crew flew to Minnesota to personally present the “Live Like A Millionaire” prize package.  A month later is was finally time for my husband Jim, friends Lynn, Mark and me to leave for Las Vegas and begin our trip of a lifetime.

 

A limo was waiting at the airport to escort us to Caesars Palace. Upon arrival we were greeted by Caesar himself, Cleopatra and a camera crew.  We certainly felt like celebrities!  We were then escorted to our magnificent suite where a personalized plaque commemorating Celine’s One Millionth Guest was waiting along with a welcoming message from Mark Juliano, president of Caesars Palace.

 

We spent the day enjoying Caesars Palace hospitality including the pool, unlimited spa services and $5000.00 worth of gaming chips at the casino! We were treated to an incredible dinner at Bradley Ogden and then were off to Celine’s boutique for some serious shopping with our $1000.00 spree!

 

Finally it was time to meet Celine before the show.  After a warm welcome she graciously autographed mementoes and spoke of how appreciative she and her team were for being able to perform for us.  It was an honor to meet such a genuine, talented artist!

 

The music, costumes, choreography and of course Celine’s amazing voice were breath taking.  When the show came to an end, my first thought was I didn’t want it to end and my second was I must see it again.

 

Following the performance we were fortunate to receive a backstage tour and saw first hand what was all involved in this outstanding production.  Everyone we met treated us so well and was genuinely excited for us.  We felt like royalty!

 

We enjoyed many more experiences over the weekend and then it was time to fly back to Minnesota and reality.  On behalf of my husband and friends, I want to say thank you again to Celine, Rene, Concerts West and everyone at Caesars Palace who left us with memories that will last a lifetime!
