Celine entering the world of acting

You all know that Celine has mentioned that she would love to do more acting. Some people think this is a good idea, some think that it's a bad idea.

 

I personally would love to see Celine do a romantic comedy, or something really touching. I think she could totally do it. She has so much passion within her that she would do it so well.

 

Last week I watched DES FLEURS SUR LA NEIGE, which I hadn't watched for a few years. I think that Celine does a wonderful job...she plays a girl that is absolutely nothing like herself. She was really into the role, that's what Hollywood needs.

 

She's going to be 40 soon, too bad she didn't do more acting after she did "fleurs." She's still a hotty, perhaps after doing a movie we'd see her on the HOTTEST STARS list!

 

 

What do you all think? Should she? Shouldn't she?

I don't know. I remember seeing her on some rerun of Touched By An Angel and thought she was awkward and false...playing herself.

 

With A LOT of acting lessons and a role she can sink into, she may be alright. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt and believe she can do anything she really wants to...she's always been lucky that way. But I think she'll have to do a lot of work on her acting before people will take her seriously. Any falsity or lack-lustre acting and she'll be ripped apart.

 

But I wish her luck.

Yeah, it depends on her acting abilities though.. if she can't act, I'd rather not have her act....but if she gets it right, definately!

i think she should just stick to guest staring in t.v. shows or movies. I don't think if Celine had a lead role it would be successful and probably ruin her career. Look at Glitter by Mariah, that was the major downfall for her. It took her YEARS and several comebacks to get back on top!

I think thats great Celine is so popular in vegas no wonder that filmmakers wants her to play a role or cameo.

 

I think she will be awesome better than Mariah(Glitter) Britney (Crossroads) Jessica(The Dukes Of Hazzard´s) All aweful and boring.

Celine can possible be something like Jennifer Lopez or Barbra Streisand.

 

I hope she will be famous in the movie world as in the music biz.

If she had a really interesting role at hands, she should definately go for it! We all see how funny she is as a person, so a comedy would maybe suit her. But I think a more profound role would be better for her. I think she can be a marvelous actress. It takes only a very very good script. I'd like it to be something more "sophisticated", something "not Hollywood", maybe something "made in Europe"... I don't want Celine doing it like Madonna. Even though Bjork isn't one of my favorite singers, she acted in a great movie, Lars Von Trier's "Dancer In The Dark" (very sad movie, but a great one). We need something to become a classic!!!

I just got jinished watching the movie taht she was in, and I would really think that she should go in to acting. I think that Hollywood could use more of her at least more people like her.

i have a feeling most ppl would cast her in chick flicks... mayb she'll end up playing jennifer aniston's sister or something. In the worst case scenario, she'd end up playing some teeny bopper star's mother and it won't be about her at all. Honestly, thinking about her being casted as someone's mother disturbs me.

 

or worse... she'll just play herself. mayb come of you guys like the idea of the chick flick or cameo thing, but i just don't think she'll ever be taken seriously.

 

if she ever plays in a movie, i'd love it to be unrelated to her singing career and more demanding of her effort... something where she plays opposite herself, an austere educated woman, a devil's angels member (motorcycle gang), something off the wall and different.
